Aww - number 4 has just had to postpone due to work emergency
She's still really keen I just don't know when we can reschedule! I'm generally in London whenever she's in my hometown.
Number 2 has formally applied for the room - she wants to move in on Monday but I've told her to hold fire and I'll let her know. I don't particularly object to her, but would prefer number 4.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
How does Number 2's references check out? Her story is strange and I'd want to know more about her.
I'd want to meet Number 4 before making any decisions, even if it meant waiting a bit longer.0 -
If you're going to bring a girl home, don't choose a screamer...Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0

OMG, Badger-Lady !
Maybe you need to provide gags at the front door!0 -
I would be charging extra for overnight guests, especially those that keep you awake!:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0

That one girl sounds wierd - avoid her.
Older chap that was a bit brusque may be ok
Other girl seems ok too but could take advantage as you have so much in common - best to keep this on a business footing because I know BadgerLady that you are a softy and you have been taken advantage of before.
Sounds like BigBruv has found himself a female friend - I bet she isnt really his landlady:rotfl: I wonder if she has a cat?0 -
It was BigGuns! I wasn't amused, really... I've had a persistent cold that lasted through Glastonbury and just needed one good night's sleep to try and shake it off
I was up at 7am to volunteer for my local community festival - just got back now and have taken my quilt to the sofa with UK Gold on the telly!Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
To be fair, it wasn't just the noisy sex. It sounded like he was trying to knock walls down up there, clearly just drunk and crashing into things / knocking things over in his bedroom. And talking in perfectly ordinary tones, like it was 2 in the afternoon not 2 in the morning!Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0

I would have gone and knocked on the door asking him to keep the noise down as the neighbours were complaining:rotfl: Some people have no shame.
There is a couple who live in the next block of flats to mine (our bedroom walls are adjoining) and there are times when they can be particularly noisy - she is a screamer. Must admit that one night I did call the police because I thought she was being murdered turned out it was noisy sex:o.
I am no prude but I don't need to hear.0 -
Well me and BigBruv had a good old giggle about it on Saturday. Apparently BigGuns hasn't woken him up before, so it's not a regular thing.
On Saturday night I bedded down on the sofa in the basement... BigGuns got home at 3am (girl in tow) and headed straight down to the basement, so I grumpily explained why I was trying to get an uninterrupted night's sleep before dragging my quilt upstairs and leaving him to it. To be fair, none of us heard another peep out of them all night.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0
