oh Badger you are so funny. Sorry about the boyfriend :( I think you should give BitterandTwisterPoster'sFriend a go and feature him on the thread :D

Ah gone are the days of SickintheBathLodger. Sad news about his brother :(

Don't worry about NewLodger (does she have an official name yet?) I'm sure you are keeping her quite entertained :D

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

  • I just caught up with this thread, and I'm also sorry to hear about the BF, and Sick's brother too.
Glad to hear that NewLodger is lovely and I hope she hasn't freaked out too much about the dodgy text!
I agree with jamtart, get in touch with BitterAndTwisted's friend, even if it's just to take your mind off all the sweets and chocolates!

Aah, it's OK - I've got a project now. I had my first session with the personal trainer on Monday, and she's put me on a strict "Body for Life" diet with three intensive workouts per week. After seven weeks (when my ex returns from abroad), I'll be slim, strong, flexible and exceptionally gorgeous.

The good news from the session is apparently I'm fairly fit already. The bad news is I can't move my elbows - owwwwww!

  • Good Lord! That's pretty serious, how on earth will you be able to lift a pint now?

She could always use a long straw :rotfl:.

It was also on some tv programme yesterday that cherry juice reduces muscle pain which is all good till the next over funded scientist discovers said cherry juice is now bad for you ;).

cranberry juice is supposed to be good as well as commonly available as it reduces boosts the kidneys (filtering ache toxins out the blood from over exertion), lowers blood pressure (and so also pressure on joints/aches and pains) and boosts healing time due to upping the immune system (not sure on any of theose 100% but that's the jist as I understood it) but you're not to drink cranberry juice at all if you're on any blood pressure meds up or down.

Can't stand the taste myself, too bitter.
Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

I love cranberry juice and have three packets of cherries in the fridge, so I must be sorted! :)

OK, we need a name for the new lodger and here's last night's tale to inspire you:

I got home to an empty house (although it's always difficult to tell). There was a note from the new lodger in the kitchen. It said,
"Badger, I'm so sorry but I accidentally broke one of your purple wine glasses. I went back to the shop to replace it but they've stopped selling the purple ones so I bought three blacks ones instead. I'm so sorry and hope these will help to make it up."

    Awwww!

;)old enough to know better, young enough not to care;)
  • Eh, black wine-glasses are much more goth than purple ones anyway. She sounds like a real sweetie.

    What about ClumsyLodger?
  • BTW, just wanted to know what variety of duckling baby your ex-lodger had - girl or boy? Hope all is well with you in the BB house :)
