Usually you would be able to upgrade to w/w during the policy year - But you would need to check with whoever you take your policy out with.

    Hi everybody!!!

I've been a MASSIVE fan of mse for years but this is my first post for help! I am hoping someone can give me some guidance after hours of research...

I am a 26 year old male and have dual nationality: British/Italian. I now live and work in Italy. In an average year I go on about 8-12 visits abroad - always for pleasure not work. The trips can be from a weekend to a month long, in europe and elsewhere. I also return to the UK 2-3 times a year. I never book my holidays through a travel agency - I always arrange the whole holiday, flights hotel etc myself and never use ryanairs/easyjets recommended insurance covers.

I am looking for an annual worldwide insurance cover that will actually cover me when i need it! I travel mostly with a suitcase which contains a large amount fo valuables, not to mention my new suitcase that cost €200! So I am looking for the best cover possible (with the highest cover possible for my suitcase contents) that will cover me when I take holidays in the UK and abroad. Remember I am resident in Italy.

I hope you can help! thanking you in anticipation!

A number of uk travel insurance companies will insure EU citizens or ex pats living in the EU. Some I know of are Flexicover/PJHayman/worldwideinsure/campbellIrvine/Trailfinders

My husband and I are selling up and taking a year out to travel australia and new zealand but im not sure what type of travel insurance I will need or who to approach for a full year of travelling. This could include anything from general motoring through to waterskiing, diving etc. Im looking for some real advice and tips please.

There aren't any that will cover it now. You needed to have the insurance in place prior to 15/4/10.

The only scheme I know of is with Flybe and it is just for their passengers (and has to be for flights booked by Monday 10/5/10).
