Jayward hugs to you too xx0 -
Churchmouse - excellent news.
JackieO - what a lovely post.
(((hugs))) to all those in need and :j :j to the others.
School hasn't been too bad today, especially as the literacy advisor from the Local Authority told me that my marking in the work scrutiny "shone above" everyone else's in the school. Probably sounds a silly thing and quite minor, but when you don't feel you're doing a particularly good job, then to get a pat on the back means everything. In fact, she particularly came to praise me at lunchtime in the staffroom as she didn't think I'd get any recognition from elsewhere.
DH has been a real trooper and ironed 22 shirts last night. We didn't realise that we had so many between us. As soon as he got in tonight, he whipped the tea towels off the line (whilst I was cooking supper) and ironed them too! Brilliant! I'll charge him out to some of you lot. :rotfl:
Great news from me is that I put a pair of linen trousers on today that this time last year were FAR too tight. This morning, they fitted (almost) perfectly.
I'm very envious of those people who have deely-boppers and fluffy wings for their Race for Life. I'm doing it on Sunday and I've only got trainers, trackie bottoms and a t-shirt.I'll have to look at shops at late night shopping on Thursday, if I can make it out of school on time.

Just done a quick skim through - no update from PippaD????? Wonder what's happening....?!?!?!!! Babies of all sorts arriving at the moment
Thanks Mioliere, I'm good at looking pathetic, lol so I'll give it a try.....
Youngest DD has had her first day of SATS, she thinks it was fine. I tell all of mine just to do the best they can but not to stress about it - even oldest DD who is just embarking on GCSE's.
Sure there was something else I was going to say, but can't remember....
Lots of good news on here today, which is lovely. And (((hugs)))) to those feeling poorly or having tests.
Edit to say - wonder how on earth GrannyBroon manages that Aussie?! lol....Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -

KathyXX, DH tried to wake me up, but to no avail, so got up at 5 am to take walk around the Lake at Rother Valley as he couldn't sleep as he is such a light sleeper, managed to tell everyone he had to go for a walk at 5 am. Me I heard him get up and then went back to sleep.
Pen-Pen - How has DS done with his footy.

It's been so long since Pippad's last post I'm thinking there may be a new baby....!!!
Also wanted to say how lovely I though Jackie0's post was - you're right, we often forget about the simple things, it's worth spending a few minutes to appreciate the simple things and be grateful for what we do have.0 -

I think the camera actually passes in the opposite direction, and the first five letters may give us a clue!
Jayward - hope the pain eases soon, DH had one done at the Northern General in Sheffield, and they couldn't have been nicer, he tried with the gas and air, but they had fitted him with the thing on his hand in case he needed more, which he did.
