    :j good morning everyone!

yesterday mr dogrose survived his half marathon although he thinks his time was a bit slower than last year around 1 hour 50mins...official times will not be until later this week. he told people at work he had run a bit faster anyway ;) poor soul worked a night shift after his run.

today must do some very OS shopping for food. budget is looking very bad at the moment and it is a 5 week month.£47 to fill petrol tank . however a frugal shop should get me back on track again. OH has put in a request for lasagne for tea.

best wishes to all in need. I can't mention you all, but I do think about you all as I read your posts.

    Morning...

been up and about for a while and it's going to be another warm one today.

it was great yesterday and DD2 and I hung out the washing and it had most of the day to get dry before we had to run outside again before the thunder and lightning started..she thought that was very exciting...

We turned our Rayburn off last week so we are now without heating, a hob and hot water except for the immersion.

The previous owners of the house had a regular electric oven, no hob and a microwave which they said they preferred....anyway

We are into Day 3 of the Bismarck household debate on which slow cooker/ Ramoska / Bravoska to buy to cook with to save the pennies and if there are any views - please do let us know as I can't do protracted shops!!! PLEASE HELP!!

we are mainly vegetarian...2 adults, one near 16 year old, one tall 7 year old and one 6 year old

    looking forward to your advice....

    have a good day everyone.

    P.s.

posting on here has just saved me so much trouble!!!

DD1's tooth came out last night when I was brushing and I'd forgotten to do the tooth fairy thing.....just been up now and done the deed...last time I forgot and had to say the tooth fairy was so busy that she was having to do overtime but not sure I could got away with the same excuse again!!

    phew!!
For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 2007

    Morning all

Lovely morning here too. Off to Bluewater later. Want to get my granddaughter's birthday present. She will get loads of toys etc from other relatives and friends so her mum suggested I get her some summer clothes so thats what I will be looking round for.

Having problems with my dishwasher. Everything is covered in water when I open it after it has completed its cycle. I have checked the filter is clean, have topped up the rinse aid in case the warning button has given up the ghost. Will top up the salt tonight and see what happens then. It's a mystery!! Must hang the washing out before I go, and if I am feeling virtuous, will iron it when I get back from shopping. :A

Also getting requests from hubby and son for more Twink's hobnobs so if its not too hot this afternoon might make a batch of those too.

    Hugs to the poorlies

    Have a great day everyone

    Morning all,

Having just read the thread over my morning coffee, I think this sunshine is bringing out all of the positive happy thoughts in everyone its sooooooo nice.

The chicks sound so so cute ( will there be pickys)

Yesterday I baked the apple plate that DD&D posted it was lush, but not for my waist line.

Well im on a late at work today but fed up about as the weather here in berkshire is so nice, I would love to spend time in my garden. My seedlings are growing at a mamouth rate. Will be planting some more on my next day off, so i can hopefully cut down on the food cost a bit.

I hope you all have a fab day xx

Morning everyone, hope you all had a good weekend

I did some baking over the weekend and it was all a disaster! I made craters in things :) It still tastes fine, even if it looks like a road accident, but I want it to be pretty *stamps feet*

Can't do much at work today as I've left my laptop at home and it has all my data on it (I'm using my normal workstation to post, but it too slow to work on) so it looks like another day in the lab.

Penpen - congrats on the new arrivals!

hugs for those that need them and have a good day, cel x
