Morning chums , what a glorious morning .Makes one glad to be alive when the day starts so bright.I have a busy day today I am shortly about to leave to pick up one of my granddaughters .Katie is starting her work experience this morning for a fortnight and because Mum has four other children to get to school I have offered to help with transport as where she has to go is the other side of Chatham. She is, as part of her GCSE's doing a Childcare course and hopes to eventually go into nursing. So she is working in a special-needs school for year 10 children. She is so excited as she can't wait to get there.
This afternoon I have to go back to the hospital, and they will take out my Groshon line that I have had attached to my chest since January. My chemo was fed through this tube and it will be great to be shot of it at long last. Hopefully I won't be there too long though.
I had a great day yeasterday, and went to a boot sale and managed to get a huge bag of wool that the chap only wanted a pound for .When I told him it didn't matter what colour it was as it was for knitting my blankets for 'The Linus Project' he kindly gave me the pound back and said he was pleased to help out in some small way. Linus does so much good with their blankets ,they get sent all over the world to where there is a child in need of a cosy blanket to keep them warm.I don't mind knitting them as its good physio for my right arm and it helps out a child somewhere in this world that would otherwise go cold at night
It restores ones faith in the inate kindness of total strangers when something like that happens. I will drop the pound into the collecting box at the bank this morning for the Burma relief fund ,not a lot but if everyone in this country did just one pound into the DEC fund think how much it could help those in dire need.
We are so lucky in this country that we have at least clean water to drink and our children don't go cold and hungry. A pound donated by that man yesterday won't hurt, and I will probably match it with a pound of my own .a small amount, but every little helps as Mt T is always telling us
I hope everyone has a brilliant day today
I know its a Monday, but take a minute to look up and see the sun and realise how fortunate you are just to be alive and well. I know folk have problems and money worries but today just for a minute count your blessings and see how better you feel afterwards.
<<hugs to those who are sad and in need of one >> and a great big soppy
to the rest of you
Have a good week everyone, I intend to.

Morning All!
Another glorious day. Back to work, and it's SATS week! All our Yr 6's are in at 8am for breakfast before we start. We did this last year, and it really helped them settle. We also know they've all eaten!
OH was working hard all weekend building a second deck in the garden. He's finished the frame, and next week I think he'll get the boards down:T
I did th garden. Made up all my hanging baskets and pots. The front looks lovely now, even though I say it myself:rotfl:
One lot of washing out, another in. Pasta for tea tonight.
Just read JackieO's post, and couldn't agree more!
((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) to all who need them.
Have a great day!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Morning everyone :hello:
It's lovely to read about the views some of you have where you live
i'd love to tell you how pretty it is from my garden but there's a big industrial unit at the end of my garden
Had a bit of a broken sleep last night because DD1 woke up in the night because she was too hot bless her so she'd been scratching at her eczema and making it bleed
They had the police helicopter out above us last night too
OH's eye seems to be improving :T he can make out the top letter on the eye chart now and he's doing all his eye drops and antibiotics himself too. He'll be seeing the consultant today so hopefully they'll let him come home and just go back each day to see the consultant fingers crossed
He's a bit of a fussy one about food so he's not eaten much since he went in apart from the things i've taken in for him ...... I'm itching to get a decent meal inside him.....don't I sound like a proper mum??
Have a lovely day in the sunshine everyone :hello:0 -

Morning all
Sitting here in our caravan in Dorset. The weather is gorgeous, I can't believe it, I have actually chosen the right week to go on holiday :j
Haven't caught up on the threads from the weekend, but hope everyone is OK. Congrats to Pen Pen on the new additions.
The diet has completely gone out of the window, as we have had a takeaway over the weekend, and some lovely wine. If the weather holds, it's a BBQ later.
DH is in the forest with the dog, so might do some bacon sandwiches when they get back. Think we will go to a beach later, you have to make the best of the sunshine, it looks like it might rain towards the end of the week.
Catch you all later xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Good Morning all
Lovely and sunny here in Essex . We had a lovely day yesterday with DD1 getting her award and it was lovely to see so many kids being recognised for the good things that they do as we only hear about the bad usualy.
Loads to do today need to take DD1 to an interview for her work experience she is going to a lab in a chemical factory, but first need to pop to Lakeside to get her some shoes as she forgot to tell me on sat that hers have a hole in the front:mad: then will drop her back at school.
Seem to have washing coming out of my ears so need to crack on with that, and loads of general housework.
Good luck to all those
