Also I have just registered with 1899 / 18185 and 18866, but have just read the faq's and realised there is a problem with AOL e-mails. According to the discount calls websites, the problem lies withj AOL in that they block any messages. I have checked with AOL and they say there is no problem at their end.
Has any other AOL customer had the same problem, if so, any advice as I don't really want to unravel what could in the long run save me £100 pa. Thanks.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
I have tried several times now to sign up for a family memeber and always met with the message : '18185 do not accept foreign creditcards. Please try again with a card issued in the UK !'
Anyone seen this before, it is a UK card being used0 -
What about specifying DD instead?Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").0 -

Just noticed 18866 have gone to 5p minimum so decided to sign up with 1899 instead only to receive the "due capacity issues....try again in 6 weeks...etc" message.
Quick look here, re registered with my mobile, accepted instantly, added landline, again accepted immediately and most importantly working instantly!!!!
Thanks to whoever found this out!!!!!!!!!!:beer:0 -
