we were caught out but this scam, you pay your money then they send an email telling you to take it to your service provider or a high street store where you can pay to have the phone unlocked.
My partner emailed them and they refunded his money, i suggest you get your refund double quick!0 -
I Have Just Been Fooled By This Site As Well
I Knew All That Info Without Paying For It
It Leads You To Believe They Will Send You A Unlock Code For Your Phone But All It Does Is State Things Most People Will Already Know
A Definite Scam Site

Wouldn't know how to go about finding them or what to do if I did. I'm OK on a PC but not confident messing with mobiles. But I will investigate. Thanks.0

Do not use instantunlockcodes.co.uk. If you go on their site it states that they'll give you a code for £3.44 and then you receive an e-mail stating that "sorry, but your model isn't on our (very short and way out-dated model) compatibility list and that it's your fault for not checking". They'll then refer you to a company that will for £16.99.
I'm a bit embarassed and very annoyed to say that they've just had me for £3.44. OK, it's not a mountain of money but it makes you also wonder what else such an outfit is doing with your details.
I did what I should've done in the first place and took the phone down the market and got it unlocked for £7.
Nochex are now involved and i've just sent another message to instantunlockcodes.co.uk after they ignored the first one.0 -
Yes, also paid my £3.44 to unlock a Nokia 5200 (which I understand can't be unlocked easily anyway so you live and learn) and received the stupid email telling me what I already knew.
As payment went through paypal, I started a dispute this morning and by this afternoon had a full refund :T. Do not be afraid to take this course of action - websites like unlocksearch.com should be stopped.0 -
I've just had a refund from instantunlockcodes.co.uk after getting onto Nochex who sent them an e-mail and e-mailing them myself. Reminding them of Trading Standards, the Sale of Goods Act and the Distance Selling regulations seemed to help.0

I can recommend a site called www.fonesunlock.co.uk. They sent me a code via email - at first it said code wrong, so I emailed back to Fonesunlock and within the hour I had a reply with a code that worked. This was all within a few hours and late evening. Very impressed!!!!0

Pricey though. It's £15 to unlock the Samsung I had done for £7 down our local market which was also a quicker turnaround.0
