hi guys good news i got a refund from that company, i sent them a email saying they ripped me off and made out they could unlock my phone, but just gave me info that i already knew, they apoligized and refunded me full £3.51

I just got scammed by unlocksearch.com £3.51 to unlock a Lobster 700TV. I am very hard to fool, so in that respect; congrats to them.

I have filed a PayPal dispute and emailed the company directly. PayPal clealy have a make a quick buck mentality. They must know this is a scam, so why carry on offering a payment gateway for them?

I believe this is their full address....

Just lost my PayPal dispute, 10 mins after opening it...got this message...

"Our investigation into the following transaction is complete. As stated in
our User Agreement, the claims process only applies to the delivery of
goods. It does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of
goods received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or
issue a refund."

I think I might set up a scam website; seems PayPal don't really care so long as they get their 20 odd pence out of it. I'm tempted to close my PayPal account I'm so disgusted by their continued association with this bunch of morons.

As far as I am concerned, that is not the end of the matter. How many other £3.51's have they had over the last few months/years. They need to be stopped. How do we contact trading standards over the web? Link please.

Beware of this site, a friend of mine got fooled by this site. they only send out info on different methods to unlockyour phone. they will not send any unlock codes. All you get is the following info and they will charge you 3.51 GBP for this..

Vertisco Ltd is the company operating as http://www.unlocksearch.com/. Their website, like many other phone unlock companies, misleads the reader into believing that they will be sent an IMEI unlock code for their phone for a small fee (£2.99). Instead, what arrives by email is a list of routes which anyone with a locked mobile phone could take - THEY DO NOT UNLOCK YOUR PHONE.

The information sent by this company can be obtained for free on the internet and is absolutely useless in unlocking your phone. It simply leads you to more sites which demand more money from you.

I give them a 3/10 simply because they gave me a refund. The info they send is not worth the hassle of seeking a refund.

A simple confidence trick on your part.


For the info of Trading Standards;

Are you aware that many, possibly the majority, of websites claiming to unlock mobiles are operating the same scam?

I think you could contest that. You paid for a service and did not get it - you are NOT complaining about its attributes or quality.
