Evening, just been checking my bank balance
and trying to work out how much I need to pay in tomorrow.
Mr Twit is working tonight, he's just managed to make me jump out of my skin, by accidently ringing my mobile. I ended the call and than 'phoned him....he didn't pick up, next thing he's ringing me thinking there is a problem.
Things would be so much easier if he would just lock the blasted thing.
I've made some parkin buns for Miss Twit to take into school tomorrow, although as she has shown me how the sole is dropping off one of her trainers, I think I should get her to charge her mates.
Hugs to those in need especially (((Smoky))) (((Candygirl))) (((Mrs Mix))) and (((Pink 1970)))

Evening (or should that be morning
) all :hello:
Just got back from an evening out with my ex-housemate - we went to see "The Merry Widow" at the English National Opera, which was really good, a proper feelgood show. I am reviewing it, so the tickets were free :j :j I would actually like to be going to bed about now, but had to put a load of "delicates" in the wash (for which read: I have completely run out of clean bras and tights, so unless I want to go to work in the morning naked or in my dressing gown, I need to wait up untill the wash is finished so I can hang it on the airer and bung the dehumidifier on in the hope that something is dry by the morning
)
Nothing on telly, but I recorded some stuff earlier: put Jack Dee Live at the Apollo on (from Dave) which should last about as long as the wash load! Going to potter about in a mo and unload the dishwasher, maybe start off a loaf in the BM for the morning.
I hope I manage to get up at a reasonable hour as I have a "while you were out" card from last Thursday... I wasn't expecting a parcel, so don't know what it is, but tomorrow before work will be the first chance I have had to go and pick it up from the depot.
(((hugs))) to you, however you're in the right place, I can think of at least 3 regulars on the Daily who have posted about living with FM, so you are not alonebeen to the hospital and the consultant said i had fibromyalgia (don't know a lot about it )as well as the problem with my back and feet i have been having a lot of joint pain went to the swimming pool and it was nice just to be in the pool
Rzl xx

Hi rzl and all of you lovely guys,
I have been trying to be busy but it varies from day to day how much I am getting done. The bathroom has been done, courtesy of a very cheap steam cleaner spotted in Asda last week - I can see that this is going to get a lot of use. It did everything except in the pan but hey ho it was a far cry from the last time, hours with the bleach which resulted in trashed hands and throat.
I dreamt about Eric the night before last, I was in the back garden hanging out the washing and I looked up and saw a shape in the boys bedroom window. I did a double take and he was stood there, he looked so well and he was wearing his dressing gown, one of the things I couldn't part with. He had a steaming cup of tea in one hand and was smiling and waving with the other. I was so excited to see him and it felt to me like he had just woken up and wanted to say hello.
It woke me up and I have been crying on and off since. I am crying now just thinking about it. I suppose it is all tied up with sorting out his things but it just reminds me of how much I miss him.
Anyway, the LO's child minder is on holiday so I am making 3 trips to school a day at the mo. They are all well and the 2 eldest did a sponsored 10 mile walk around one of the lakes in Snowdonia yesterday for the cubs and all is ticking over here.
I have a home delivery from Asda coming tomorrow and some bits from Argos coming. I have an appt. with my GP on Thursday and a trip to the hosi also about my teeth. The 16th is his birthday - I suppose one of the many dates to come and I am not looking forward to it.
I hope you are all well and (((((hugs))))) to all in need at the moment.

Awww, smoky, it sounds like a lovely dream, even if it's made you feel worse since. ((((hugs))))
I'm sure we'll all be thinking of you on the 16th.
I'm off to bed now, the washing machine has finished and I've put another load in on the timer to be done and dried by the time I wake up in the morning. But I'm glad I caught you, it's good to know you're around (and that you're not posting into thin air when you come on at this time of night
- there seem to be more early birds than night owls round here most of the time
)
Anyway must be off, my eyes are closing...

Almo – I only moved 250 miles and after 5 years am still betty-no-mates
. I think unless you have young children it is very difficult to meet people. I did temping here for a while so in one week, out the next, then worked in a place where I was the oldest by at least 20 years, not looking good at this job either as most are very young, or in tight little groups.
I agree Dazi
and as I don't have children, young or old, I'm a bit stuck.
I'm 24 but OH and I aren't really into going out all the time and getting smashed. I did plenty of that at uni
and I certainly enjoy the odd drink but I don't want to get wasted on Friday night and spend the rest of the weekend recovering. Unfortunately, that seems to be what most people want to do. When it happens, once in a blue moon and usually unplanned, that's fine but I want to do other things with my free time. Sadly, I have no one to do them with
.
I love my OH to bits, but I want some female, or even platonic male, time.
Sigh. I suppose I'll get there eventually.
ETA, Smoky what a bitter sweet dream it must have been. Draw what comfort from it you can, and enjoy the memories.0 -
Smoky that was a lovely dream. Subconsciously it was something that you would give anything to happen again. I'm sure he's there watching over you and is proud of the way you are coping. Hugs to you.
RZl - I hope your smalls dry in time for work.
Almo What about joining something? Friendships take a while to form though. I've been on the island now for 2 years and I'm starting to get friends now. There's only 300 people that live here
so that helps a bit.
I'm just about to get ready to go out. Heading off to town in about 1 hour so I better get a move on. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Smoky, that was a lovely dream and although you felt sad when you woke it is good that you can have dreams where Eric is happy and smiling at you.
You are doing really well, its still early days yet so big (((hugs)))) to you, know it cant be easy to get up and deal with the day to day stuff, remember you can post on here anytime day or night and will always find someone to talk to.
Going onto the friend thing - I would just like a mate whoI could meet for coffee now and again, spose I'm saving money not having one
Must get off to bed now, not got work tomorrow but need to do loads as back at work on Thurs.....not sure how long I can do this job though as I thought me aches and pains would have gone today, my back is very painful, have had hotwater bottle all day even though its been hot! thinking I may be too old for this lark lolwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine
