Redruby, that is what I call playing 'pocket billiards'.
What a day it's been today, we've had a 16 year old with part of his ipod stuck in his ear, all the heating is on full blast as this weeks caretaker doesn't know how to turn it off & our 'wooden leg' so called cos she doesn't work like the rest of us has spent most of the day in tears, because her husband works with someone who's cousin's had a minor car accident!

What a lovely day. Shame most of it was spent at work. Oh well needs must to pay the bills:D Boss was in an odd mood today, but with so many changes and cut backs, I guess the vibe is finally getting to him too..

Got a nice surprise earlier - got free tickets to the theatre this evening.

Don't know what we're having for dinner, but think I may have to have a bowl of cereal in a minute. Just catching up with a nice cup of earl grey.

Working my way through the daily clicks. Went to the bank to see if paypal have paid me yet - no:( Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

((Hugs)) to all the many people needing them today

    Good afternoon everybody:hello:

Essex-girl, I hope the tests went OK for DH.

((((mrs mix)))) ((((((smokybabe and LOs)))) ((((candygirl))))

Well hasn't this weather been a surprise? They certainly didn't forecast this for my area. In fact at Victoria station they had the forecast on the screen saying for today it was 7C and showery. Outside it was 21C (or hotter!!) and not a cloud in sight:rotfl: Now why was I at Victoria station? Get ready for immense jealousy right now:D :p:p Pink-winged has been in London the last couple of days with her DH and two sons, and they fly home this evening. Finally at 8pm last night with her on her mobile in their hotel, and me on my mobile on a platform at London Bridge station, we managed to arrange to meet for lunch today:j :j :j :j She really is the loveliest person you could hope to meet. I had a brilliant few hours, and she insisted on treating me to lunch, so she has to come again so I can repay the favour:D :D;) I met her DH , very friendly nice man and her 2 sons. Youngest is a real cutie, eldest (at only 14) is a tall, handsome lad who must have the girls forming a queue already:rotfl: They went off for some more sight-seeing which was just as well as they wouldn't have got a word in edgewise:o :D Thanks Pink, I wouldn't have missed it for anything:kisses3:

    Off for a surf now,

    CM

Many Thanks for the best wishes for OH, the procedure was very painful apparantly but they couldnt take any biopsies as it looks like he has a blockage which could be causing his problems. He has a CT scan on friday and hopefully that will show more.

We had lunch at a pub doing 2 meals for 1 and am still full up so just need to make tea for the kids. OH still complaining is in pain so have left him to it and I am in my office catching up on paperwork - not that I am that uncaring but it really needs to be done.

    Anyway best get on.

It seems ages since I posted on the daily, what with going away the other weekend, and starting a new job. (I have been reading though) So Hi everyone :hello:

Our weekend in Sussex was great, had meal with parents and saw a friend on the Saturday, stayed the night at the Newhaven Premier Inn, felt really strange to be a visitor as lived in Newhaven for 20 years. Then on the Sunday was over to Bognor to see DD & DSIL went for a late lunch at an Italian place in Chichester, back to theirs for a cuppa then we stayed in the Bognor Premier Inn and came back on the Monday. DD was shattered and suffering from backache and heartburn , she finished work last week so hoping that she can rest a bit more now. I suppose the next time I see them will be when baby is born awwwwwwwwwww.

The job is….errrr well its earning me some money:( . Am still looking for another one as I really want to do office work, afterall its what I have been doing for the last 30 odd years. I now know I am not very fit, all this intensive housework has made every muscle in my body ache.

At the mo us 3 new starters share a section between us, 3 rooms each, then when those are done go on to do others. Think I may fall out with one of the others, went to get some cleaning stuff from him (have to share trolley while we are doing this) he is standing there texting, what you doing I ask, he tells me he can’t get on cos he is waiting for new mattress (someone wet the lower bunk one) I looks at him and says well you can do the double, top bunk and the single and the bathroom:confused: , I mean I don’t want to be a ‘dobber’ but at the moment while we are working together if someone doesn’t pull their weight it makes it look like we are all slow, the other girl is fine, very fast, much faster than me! Eventually after 6 weeks we will be expected to do 9 rooms on our own, that’s about 45 mins per room, sounds ok but not sure I will do it!

Today is my first day off, I still woke up early but took a cup of tea back to bed and went back to sleep, not telling what time I finally woke up;) but I have made up for it, done loads of washing and baking, also defrosted freezer ready for the stuff I have made. Day off tomorrow too, am going library and doing top up shopping.

Tea tonight is one of the mini quiches I made earlier, is only me here, OH is on way to Scotland so night out for him.

Almo – I only moved 250 miles and after 5 years am still betty-no-mates :o . I think unless you have young children it is very difficult to meet people. I did temping here for a while so in one week, out the next, then worked in a place where I was the oldest by at least 20 years, not looking good at this job either as most are very young, or in tight little groups.

(((Huggs))) for everyone who needs one, nope as I am happy to have had a day off big group hug for us all :grouphug:

    xxxxxx

(Thinks......may nip up offy so can have a glass or 2 of wine tonight....afterall this is my weekend ;) )
whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

    Stopped smoking 20:30 28/09/11 :D
