    Morning all

Another lovely day here. Will put the first load of washing out in a mo and then will put some towels in to wash too. Want to get some housework done before I rush out to the doc's for a smear test (oooh the exciting life I lead eh ) and then get back for my Tesco delivery. A large pile of ironing is sitting there looking at me so will have to make a dent into that today I suppose. Did anyone watch the programme on BBC2 last night about Val Doonican? Brought back memories of my childhood I can tell you. Only thing is I can't stop humming 'Paddy McGinty's goat' lol

Hugs to everyone in need and have a good day - byeeeeee

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Good Morning!

It is shaping up to be a beautiful day here so I hope to get a little bit more done in the garden.

Puppy is going off for a much needed trim, she is a very shaggy dog atm and will be a lot cooler in this hot weather.

(((hugs))) to Mrs Mix, Smoky, PP and Essexgirls dh

Hoping my dehydrator turns up today as I had an email dispatch note yesterday. :j

I have a sore head atm but need to wash my hair so I am going to be very careful, just wish it was shorter!

    Have a lovely day

    Hi everyone

Don't quite feel it's appropriate for me to say HUGS, not knowing people very well, but those who are in need, you have my thoughts and best wishes.

It's rainy and cold here in Melbourne and I have spent the day feeling sorry for myself! I work in an industry in which people move on very quickly from one job to the next and have found it difficult to make friends since moving here. I have a couple but I have been really missing my friends back in the UK recently. I suppose that's not likely to change if I sit indoors moping but sometimes it's hard to think of ways to meet people.

Have done a bit of tidying and went for a walk to the market earlier (not much of a walk, if I were the hooligan type I could spit on the market from our balcony :p - the height gives enough time to get enough projection). WM is on and a load is already out to dry.

Another day off tomorrow, my OH will be at work as usual. Must make more of an effort to get out :o .

We're in the process of booking a long weekend to Tasmania, so am off to do some research on that.

Fi27 - that's exactly what happens to my days!

By the time I've checked every possible website on the net, wandered round a bit, had some tea, checked out what's on tv, written a long and detailed list of what I need to do, had some more tea and re-checked my emails, it's pretty much the end of the day!

    Good Morning All

Hope everyone is well & had a good wk end!
WM on, and for the first time this yr, Ive been able to peg some washing out! OH put me up a new line y-day!
Managed to get in the garden too, but OH did the main jobs!
He didn't do too bad at the car boot on Saturday, but was put in a different field, which in his opinion makes all the difference, as people tend to skip that area!
Baked some honey hob knobs and carrot cake y-day!
Savoury mince & mash for dinner later.
Got to take/fetch OH to/from work! Still not sure whats happening about the other car! Scrap or get it repaired! Hope to get someone else's verdict today/this wk.

essex-girl - good luck for OH at the hospital today! same with annie
    (((hugs))) pen-pin
(((Hugs))) smokey, candy-girl & mrs-mix, hope DS gets on ok at the hospital

    Right best be off
    Have a great day
    Love Emma xxx

    Morning all...

Well so far May hasn't got off to a very good start for some of my family...

My sisters dog wasn't very well Friday so Dad took her to the vets on Saturday morning only for Jade (dog) to have a heart attack in the car needless to say it was too late by the time they got to the vets, :( think Dad said they were 10 mins away....so my Sister travelled from Huthwaite back to my parents house (about an hour drive) to see Jade before they buried her...its so sad...she was 11, and a golden retriever.

Mum phoned last night to let me know one of her friends who had Prostate cancer had past away yesterday morning, he had been in a hospice in Peterborough but my Mum also didnt get there in time to see him. She said to me " your Dad was flying down the A1"... As my FIL died last may from the same I know what its like, I was trying not to break down on the phone while she was talking to me...So along with my FIL dying a year ago on the 18th and its the anniversary of my Grandad's death 12 years ago on my wedding day May isnt a good month...

But anyway people have worse things to cope with.

Away to wait for Tesco to deliver my shopping and then off to post a few things that sold on Ebay....

Must speak to Mum again today see how she is coping...she looked after her friend at his house while he was ill, his family didnt really help but now all of a sudden they are concerned about his affairs, he named Mum in is will for half of the estate but i think she is going to have a fight on her hands...

:grouphug: :grouphug: to all in need.....

    TTFN......
