Hi there JennyBee
yep..you can freeze the tortillas cooked or as balls or raw dough... if you freeze the dough it will come out a bit stickier so you will need more flour-but they do seem to roll out bigger :T in fact i make them in double batches and freeze them on purpose they are much better that way
I packed 3 up for hubby the other day for work and he came home a happy little bunny especially when his mate said he paid about €4 for one in the NAFFI  ..anyone fancy setting up a sandwich round? :rotfl: anyway ..hope your back eases up soon
Thanks for everyones lovely good wishes for sis.. the women in our family are tough old birds so im sure she will be fine
... she has the right attitude too... she refuses to get down about it and is only interested in the chemo not clashing with her many holidays :T will pass on your good wishes..thankyou everyone

Just a thought - would it be an idea to have a separate recipe thread somewhere, so we don't have to go through lists of posts to find the recipes when people post them? (OK so I guess you can search the thread for a specific recipe... but would this help anyway?)

There already is enjoy

Mrs Mc, best wishes for your sister.

MrsM thoughts go out to you and your sister. Hope everything works out o.k.
Quick update, have changed siggy and spent £4.05 today on fruit, mince and sausage meat. I will try out MandyMoos mini meatloaf recipe tonight for dinner.
Been gardening yet again today, chuffed as I was able to get hold of a free compost bin from freecycle, so went and collected that today. Already have one, but filling up so quickly and the `new` one is alot bigger. Just sorting out the weeds and a bit of digging and watering.
Haven`t done any baking today as it was so nice in the garden, but will have to do a shop tomorrow, so might stock up on some baking goodies.Grocery Challenge 2013: July week 1 £90/£87.41

Lots of people talking about IPTW at work today. Some of them could quite understand how she spent £260 a week. I personally thought it was just a bit careless!! especially as she seemed to be throwing stuff away a lot of the time. I was listening to the news on the radio at lunchtime and there was a segment about it on there as well. One woman was saying how she would throw away a sandwich that her child didn't eat or a yoghurt that was opened but untouched. Is it just me that would probably cover it in cling film and put it back in the fridge for when they wanted it later? (within reason of course - if it had been sat out in the warmth for a while then I might not!)
Bye for now!
I do that, when the lunch box comes back there is no way I throw it out, the fruit goes back in the bowl for the next day, the half eaten sandwich I make them eat it later if they get hungry:rolleyes: the half eaten crisps gets put back in the drawer with one of those IKEA plastic thingys, the yogs I will eat later, oh no def no waste there:D0 -
Here you go
Chocolate orange muffins
125g SR flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
125g soft margarine
125g caster sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
grated zest of 1 small orange ( I used the juice as well)
60g plain chocolate chips ( I used value milk choc chopped)
makes 12 muffins
180oC
1. sift the flour & cocoa
2. cream margarine & caster sugar
3. Add the eggs & mix
4. add the flour & cocoa until blended
5. stir in orange zest and chocolate chips ( I added the orange juice)
6. line muffin tray with paper cases & fill to about 2/3 full
7. cook in a preheated oven for 10-12 min
I got the original recipe from Annabel Karmel book

Glad i`m not the only one. Thought I was being a bit of a meanie old mum, if the food can be used or saved then it`s saved for another time. Can`t stand wasted food.Grocery Challenge 2013: July week 1 £90/£87.41

NSD for me today. I am enjoying this challenge. For the first time ever, I'm looking forward to defrosting the freezer so i can start baking and cooking properly. :rotfl:
DD wanted raisin bread this morning, so made that and some cookies. The recipie was for choc & cherries, but I wasn't going to buy dried cherries just for that so I used raisins instead. They taste lovely and only 2 ww points each. Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j0
