Hi all
Need to add another £4.72 on - was spent on bits we didn't need - serves me right for shopping with the kids.
Got The Sun today for the money off voucher for Morrisons. Decided that I will spend the money on BOGOF's as Mr M's usually have some ok stuff and then use the voucher so I should end up with £60 of food for £25 ??? Will give it a go !!!
Will update siggy now

He's only had 3 letters from HR since he was off. No other contact.
1) can we have a medical report?
2) we've received it, thanks
3) can you come in to see us next month
The only other contact was us ringing when they hadn't paid his SSP on time.
No Occ Health or Welfare, unless you count me!
I know what you mean about the boards helping, thanks.
Hope it goes ok for you on half pay. Old style certainly helps on the money saving side of things, but not the wasitline with all these cake recipes:rolleyes:Needs must when the devil vomits in your kettle..........0 -

Sorry to stick my nose in but has SSP ended because its the end of the 28 weeks entitlement period? If so tell your OH to ask his employer for form SSP1, which they must fill in and give to him. He'll need to contact the Jobcentre who will explain what to do with this form and how to claim Incapacity Benefit. HTH

Thanks Nikki.x
Don't say sorry, happy for the advice!!
Have looked into this a few weeks ago and got a bit confused.
It will be the end of the 28 weeks so will need to do this. As you can see from my reply to SSL they're not the most communicative of people so not holding out that they'll send it to him.
Only concern is that the doctor said he should be well enough to go back soon, but he's not...
Thanks again

If he's not well enough to work he should go back to the doctor for another sick note/medical report. Try another doctor if he can't get another one from his usual GP. Good luck xx:A0 -

Oh my goodness! It's just taken me about an hour to catch up on all the posts! That'll teach me to not be online for a couple of days!!
Muscles are still aching from walking the London Moonwalk on Saturday night which meant that I weakened and bought a jacket potato and chilli from the shop at work yesterday. £1.90 to add to the total! But it's pay day on Friday
Trying to finish meal plan for June but need to go rooting around in the freezer to see what we've got. My hands are really cold at the moment so don't really want to do that just yet!
Youngbean - Think it was you that mentioned that you've been cooking for 4 and eating for 4 too? My OH and I were exactly the same. Now I make a point of dishing up the extra portions to freeze first before putting the food on our plates! That way we always have enough!
Right - catch you all later!Jonathan Douglas born 20th January 2009 - 9lb 4oz

I cooked shop bought 2 chicken kievs with garlic inside them and the breadcrumbs outside, only used one, froze the other, let it defrost naturally and heated it up, OH said it was rubbery, tasted awful and refused to eat it, anyone else know can you freeze them successfully unlike I did?:D
How did you reheat it? Was it the micro?
Its not a product Id recommend reheating because of the filling. Only way to reheat this really is the grill or the oven. Its partly because these kievs are very "processed" that they go rubbery.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
Thanks Angelnikki
Will have a go at that tomorrow once I got some icing sugar.

Oh I see is there a difference? OBVIOUSLY:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: so now what do I do with the evaporated milk?:D Do you know that was because I was trying to save money and the Mr s WAS cheaper than the condensed milk so I plumped for that knowing I would only use for that one recipe and now I made a mistake:rotfl: :rotfl: and saved none by buying the wrong thing, ruining a recipe and having nearly a whole tin of evaporated milk sitting on the side not knowing what do with it:rotfl: :rotfl:
Victory - evaporated milk is just milk with the water taken out of it. You could make it into 'normal' milk by diluting it with equal quantity of water. (I'm sure MIL used to feed ex this when he was a baby. Obviously diluted quite a bit!) It doesnt have added sugar.
Condensed milk also has the water taken out of it, but has loads of sugar added to it. I think it goes through a more complex process than EM, so that plus the sugar makes it more expensive.
