Hi
I have been to the market for fruit and Mr T for everything else and have spent another £22.99. It would have been more but i used £5 of coupons.:money: . So that leaves me with £38.31 for the next 11 days. I think i should be able to manage that.0 -

Spent another £9 in Aldi and £9 in co-op so still looking ok-ish.
Had a bit of a chat with the OH last night, his pay at the end if this month is going to be his last SSP. Not sure what'll happen after that.
Hold on to your hats, it's gonna be a bumpy ride seems to be the feeling at the moment.
Finally told parents about it, first thing she said was 'have you got enough food?'!!'
They're coming to visit next month so i get the feeling there will be a food parcel coming as well with some 'bits-to-keep-you-going'.
mantra for today.............
'I can only worry about the things i can do something about'
I know exactly how you feel! I'm on my own (plus DD) and due to go to half pay next month. Does OH have anyone to clarify things like HR, Occ Health, Welfare? At least I feel I can cope thanks to the boards xx0 -
I am sick of the food price rises  While shopping online at Mr T's i refreshed the page to find the rice i had just put in my basket had gone up by 50p in about 10 seconds. Am sure by the time i get my shop delivered it will have gone up again    I was £65  to fill our car with petrol yesterday which made me want to cry. Told OH it HAD to go and something much more ecconomical would have to be purchased. To my astonishment OH agreed
we have argued about this for a while and i knew i was right all along. MEN
I've updated my signature, i'm way over my budget but i didnt have a reaslistic budget to start with this month! I have loads of store cupboard stuff to carry over for next month as i have been bulk buying the offers we use. Oh well. New budget starts on Saturday for me so will hang off till then before declaring this months total.
Oh I got a sparkly new cooker last weekMy darling daddy bought it for me :T :A
It's a fab double oven so loads of room for batch baking/cooking. Next pruchase definately a freezer of some sort. Just need to work out where to put it tho
Take care

Hi High Peak Lass
Sorry to stick my nose in but has SSP ended because its the end of the 28 weeks entitlement period? If so tell your OH to ask his employer for form SSP1, which they must fill in and give to him. He'll need to contact the Jobcentre who will explain what to do with this form and how to claim Incapacity Benefit. HTH

As a family we are definately going to be over on our food budget this month. It has been a real eye opener keeping a spending diary and it is definatley something i will continue to do. This month we have spent £45 on 3 takeaways because of not being organised. I have spent some money on compost, pots and seeds which are included in the GC so these should pay for themselves in the long run and made a herb garden.0

Wow, the cakes on here look delicious. I love baking but sometimes can't be bothered with icing etc, I make muffins mostly, quick n easy. Love the idea of midget gems on the choc cake. :j
We are having the last ready made pizza with chips for tea. I need to start making my own from now on. Mr M seems to have stopped selling the ones we liked, alternatives tried are too dry. Should really make them anyway.0
