    Morning to Everyone!!!

Anyone else sat at work? :(

Yesterday was a NSD, the first one I think I have EVER had!!

Did chicken curry with left over chicken from sunday, which was lush! And with the left over mash and veg, have made Bubble and Squeak, which I have bought into lunch for my dinner!

Now the thought of the day is; "Should I get a bacon sarnie this morning?"

Spent another £9 in Aldi and £9 in co-op so still looking ok-ish.
Had a bit of a chat with the OH last night, his pay at the end if this month is going to be his last SSP. Not sure what'll happen after that.
Hold on to your hats, it's gonna be a bumpy ride seems to be the feeling at the moment.
Finally told parents about it, first thing she said was 'have you got enough food?'!!'
They're coming to visit next month so i get the feeling there will be a food parcel coming as well with some 'bits-to-keep-you-going'.

I have had a disaster with the cocconut balls recipe on here with the evaporated milk:eek: squidgy, runny, messy, what have I DONE WRONG? Now I have got most of the tin of evaporated milk left and what shall I do with that now? Thanks

My DS is 8 tomorrow so baked fairy cakes recipes is 60z self raising flour, 60z butter, 60z sugar 3 eggs, gas mark 7 for 10/12 mins always go down a treat, never ice them because the kids like them plain or with choc chips in them or hundreds and thousands or lemon/almond/ essence,colouring.....kids come from far and wide:rotfl: :rotfl:

    The birthday cake is ..

    9oz sfr flour
    1tsp baking powder
    8oz caster sugar
    8oz butter
    4 large eggs
    1tsp milk
Mix in electri mixer for a few mins
    gas mark 4 45-55 mins

For a choc one omit 1oz of flour for 1oz cocoa, orange stir in zest, vanilla add 2 tsp of vanilla extra, coconut add 1oz dessicated coconut

Has to be a nsd for me today, will post pics in a min if I can get the camera to work:D

:hello: Morning youngbean - I'm sat at work too!

I've popped in to Mr S on the way into work for crumpets for breakfast. Spent 55p but used a 50p luncheon voucher I have had lurking in the handbag for the past few months (another £1.50 to use up) - so breakfast for the majority of the week has cost me 5p :j

Pizza for tea to night with dough from out of the freezer!

It may be because the recipe says CONDENSED milk, not evaporated:rotfl:

Edit: I made them the other night and they are scrummy!
