Fresh fish is lovely! We were given a whole large cod this week and it was delish! We had it with our first home grown salad and mash pots in the oven. Very mney saving as the pots had been reduced to 50p for 5kg! So the whole meal only cost about 15p!
I got loads of whoopsies from ASDA the other day so we've got main meals until nearly the end of next month if we're careful! (Which we will BE)!
Then I plan to fill the freezer with some easy to cook stick in the oven type things for after the baby's born. I will also make some cottage pies, mince sauce mix, cheese and pot pies etc so that we can still have home baked meals but it will save me cooking loads when the baby's little.
That's the plan! Wish me luck!

You must live quite close to me Scotsaver. I practically live in Greenwich park in the Summer.
Another nsd, 5th in a row. Had a friend visiting today who has never seen a squirrel, so took her to Greenwich park with a bag of monkey nuts. She had a great time.
Hi Sosh - I live in Welling so to make a change from Danson Park we go to Greenwich Park, just love the view from the top of the hill looking down over London, the O2 etc etc. Just prefer the calm feeling in the Park there."WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

Zend - good luck with your Dad's 60th
SAV3R - don't know why your New Potatoes have gone off so quickly, I bought some on Friday and used some at the weekend, just checked them now and they are still OK for tonight, I keep mine in the Salad drawer of the Fridge and my normal spuds I keep in a dark cupboard under the Stairs - HTH.
candygirl - my thoughts are with you and your Dad, stay strong.
angelnikki - those cakes look great, my tummy is rumbling, must go now for some brekkie:rotfl:
Hoping for my 3rd NSD in a row, to resist the temptation of the shops I shall take the girls to School and then head straight back and straight out into the Greenhouse. Have some more Tomato plants to repot, need to check my Spuds, have been earthing them up but so high I don't think I can anymore so hope the spuds underneath are doing OK. Also have some in an old black bin which I know will be OK as I've kept earthing to the top but the ones in the ground are harder to earth up - fingers crossed anyway.
Lettuces are looking good which is just as well because nearly £1 in the Supermarket now:eek:
Anyway, hope you all have a good day."WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

Fetched the first of the salad leaves in from the garden for dinner last night :T .. you wouldn't think something soooo simple could cause so much excitement :rotfl: ..... Lots of ooooohhhs and ahhhhhhs as we tasted them all individually -it was like a wine tasting session.... rocket, watercress, baby spinach, mizuna, misome, komatsuna, giant red mustard and others -that i can't name as im not sure what i set where..but they were yummy and im glad i have set loads ....can't believe how the prices have shot up
Hubby demolished the cheese thingies and the bread sticks -just as i thought he would.... still i only made 1 batch of sticks this time so it wasn't too bad
Today I will be using the last of the jackets but have decided that tomorrow i can always do a pasta salad to save me shopping in the morning..but i will have to go on Thursday as i will be out of cucumber by then... .... oh and i will need to top up my fruit by then ready for the weekend...
