had a trip to Mr T's this morning to stock up on dog food, some smelly candles and lenor. don't normally buy the last 2 bits cos they're too expensive, but it was all young cashiers on so i thought i'd try using my coupons i'd had in my purse for ages :p

total shopping should've come to £18.72 but when the girl on the till had finished wading thru all my vouchers, i ended up only paying 38p!!! :j

then came back home and made mrbadexamples chocolatey yogurt cake.....i put it in the oven to cook whilst i walked the dogs, and what a gorgeous smell coming from the kitchen when i got back home :D the recipe suggests leaving the cake wrapped in foil for a couple of days to mature, but i don't know if me or DD can hold out that long!! :rotfl:

gonna go and do my meal plans in a few mins for the next couple of weeks. i want to try really hard to only spend the minimum i can for the next fortnight, cos i need to save as much as i can for DS14 to go on a rugby trip to Italy in October

hope you're all enjoying the sunshine :D

MrsSnowy sorry to here your news.

Well I was good had to go into town and parked about 1 mile outside city centre and walked in so I saved £7.80 in parking.

Spent £2.7 today on bread and teabags (which I forgot yesterday on my list lol ) So that should be me for the day. Well hopefully for a few days .

    Hi High Peak Lass,

Have you tried your local freecycle? they may have a free computer on there for you or even someone who will fix yours for you free ;) .

I know there is a guy on our local one who often offers his help to people free of charge - lovely guy, only charges for parts and gets them cheap, so worth a look. Just type freecycle into google and you should be able to find your local one.

    Hope that helps,
    Denise x

    Hi all
sorry for your loss MrsSnowy and family

Haven't posted this week, have managed to come on a couple of times but has taken me ages to read thru'.
Will be a close thing to keep in my budget this month, only have £40 left:eek:, and will need the usual milk, fruit, veg, sandwich stuff, yog etc. MrM has got big boxes of kellogs cornflakes (£2.19) on BOGOF with the free swim token :j, so I bought 8 and intend to get more as I pay £3.10 for a swim while DD is getting her lesson on a thurs am. Also bought 8 boxes of tempo hankies - 49p in lidl. Also got 8 big bottles of creme bath from asda (reduced to 23p each) as I use these for hand wash. So feel okay about what I've got so far. Spag bol tonight padded out of course, chicken curry last night with the sp jar of curry sauce - was actually okay, also have MrS basics one to try (4p:rotfl:), so will let you know. Tried the basic pasta - was fine, also got the rice to try. Anyway must go and hang rest of washing out and go out for a walk:D

Well got back from magalluf last night to discover that my GC spend is still the same as before I left:j OH and DS have eaten out of the freezer and cupboards for 5 days and I still have the purse full of cash I left for them. I am sooo impressed with them;) .

Of course I now have to go shopping to stock up again but at least I now know that I have managed to impress on them that money saving works - mind you they have both received stacks of cigars but I think they deserved it.

I'm off to Asda at 5pm - I doubt there will be much left as when the weather is this hot the shelves are always stripped clean of fresh food for al fresco eating. I don't have the energy to prep up a bar bq so it will have to be another weekend for us.

Well off to make my shopping list (I am having trouble getting the brain back in gear)

Hi everyone - hope you are enjoying the day. Just popped in to update my sig. Managed to spend just over £45 in Sainsbury's this week and although I may need to buy a couple of bits of fruit and salad I am on target to keep my spending under £50 per week to the end of my month.

Will be eating at a friend's tomorrow and have been invited out next Saturday too - it all helps, even if I have to buy a thank you presy!

Of to rehearse for our village Christian Aid concert which is on tonight so can't read all the posts - but cheers to all of you who are doing well and hugs for those who aren't or who need them!

    Love Moniker
