Stats so far - start weight 10st 7lb (Dec 2007)
Current weight - 9st 8lb (would like to be 9st 4lb for holiday in a few weeks!)
    Target weight - 9st ish (but 8 and 1/2st would be nice - i'm only 5'2!!!)

Hi Kat315, I'm new on this thread, but thought i'd say hello as your stats are similar to mine. I'm 5ft 2, 9st 2 (well 9st 1 as of today!) and aiming for 8st 2. Hopefully we'll get there!

    Yes - weight chart wednesdays!

Probably has a lot to do with the relief (sp) of getting through the long weekend fairly unscathed :rotfl:

not me I am afraid. back up to 1lb gain to 15st13.

worse still just got on the Wii Fit we got for the kids and that says 16 st 1.

I'm not brave enough to post that as a gain - I don't even know which is right and which is wrong, however if I ever lose a couple of lbs I will probably post a STS and move to the Wii Fit scales - anyone else have any experience with these??

I haven't posted any gain or loss as I feel only being at it for one day I can't really judge! Will do next week though.
Just got back from Tescos, stocked up on loads of goodies. Got some dates as apparently if you freeze them they taste like toffee, so worth a try I think! I'm going to make some jelly with strawberries in aswell today and leave it in the fidge and see if it'll tempt anyone away from the egg custards, here's hoping!! :)

Hello to everyone and Welcome to all our new members - Logos, Serenity, KittyKat100, Cookinmummy, Kit, Sophie - and anyone else new I missed out!

I can't believe how many messages there have been on here! Isn't it funny how it never gets boring talking about losing weight and eating food!!:rotfl:

Came down with a real stinker of a cold on Saturday which took away all of my appetite which helped me lose a wonderful 2 1/2 pounds this week!! I was also slimmer of the week and got another certificate for my fridge door!

I am as happy as a dog with two tails at the moment!! :j :j

I had mainly red days last week and due to rising food prices I have stopped wasting food and am making use of leftovers (last nights dinner becomes tomorrows lunch), and vegetables looking a little miserable are turned into soup which I have whenever I feel the nibbles coming on!!:rotfl:
Truth be told I quite enjoyed it and feel like a proper old-fashioned housewife - oops I forgot I AM an old-fashioned housewife!!:o :rotfl: :o :rotfl:

Good luck to everyone this week, and once again thanks for keeping such a good thread going. I don't contribute as much as I should - just think of me as the quiet one in the corner!!

    Love
    Marion

    Hi all,

Just checking in to see when weigh-in day is nowadays? used to be mon or wed can't remember!! Does Lois still do the chart???

Hi Kat - the chart is posted on Wednesdays, and Efrieze is the current monitor. It's shared between a few people who take it in turns to do it for a month at a time. You can weigh any day, all you need to do is make sure you post it in big bold colours. :)

    LL
    Start BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.3

Hi Mark, 2lb difference between the scales is probably fairly normal. Are you weighing in the same clothes for both (or entering the exact figure for what your clothes weigh in wii fit?) Is one on a carpeted surface, are you weighing same time of day for both?

I use my bathroom scales as my main ones and don't take too much notice of the wii fit weight other than seeing whether it's up or down - because I am on the wii fit at all sorts of different times of day :) (By the way we could do with some company over on the wii fit thread in the health section - hint, hint ;))

I've had the same when buying new scales halfway through my weight loss, I had to lose the same bit of weight over again, IYSWIM :p

Sophie - if the frozen dates really do taste like toffee please let me know :D

Marion, well done on your fantastic loss and SOTW (but sorry you've had a cold). As for all the chat about weight loss & food, I don't really have anyone else to talk to about it in detail :o so it's great to come here and find some like-minded peeps :D I dare say we are saving some of our real life friends from being bored to tears by chatting to each other instead ;)

Are we really over stimulating you Wendy? ;) Didn't you tell the Doc it's only us you're talking to :rotfl: Well, I hope things are moving in the right direction a little bit at least? Some nights of good sleep must be better than none.

. Vic, if she didn't eat it all the second time isn't that progress? Or did I misunderstand?
welll yes and no:D it came across as she was doing something bad that she had a problem (obviously she had) but instead of finding the route cause i.e youth, depression, lack of self confidence etc they subjected her to her biggest downfall which is vast amounts of food in the house that she eats, can't really see the point to that, my answer was to get it out of the house as I have done and never let it come back, kids begging or otherwise:rotfl: :rotfl: I am not sure there was any progress when the lady was going to do it again with it all in her house:rolleyes:

I am feeling proud today. Went to cinema with DC yesterday and whilst they tucked into sweets and popcorn I had a bottle of water!!:j I enjoyed film just the same - so..... a film doesn't need 2000cals to be fully enjoyed (must now transfer this to long term memory)

And so you should be:D I am pleased to hear that you don't have to have 2000cals per film as I AM OFF to see sex and the city tomorrow night and can't wait, the very few times I have been I take my own diet coke or a bag of snack a jacks or some ryvita crackers to nibble on, I KEEP what I would have had in a normal day but make it last longer in the day by taking it with me so I know that I have not exceeded the cals per day but have something there to eat if I want it as OH tucks into the sweets or whatever:D
