Hi tagz, I hope you're soon feeling very much better.

Welcome aboard reventon, this is a great place where everyone helps with loads of advice.

Sorry Jules, I forgot to mention in my last night's post to Kit that you looked wonderful in the 'after' photo, though a very cheery lass before.

    here's a few lunch ideas . .

    red
wafer thin cooked meat with cottage cheese and fruit. also cooked chicken or for a treat, something from the rotisserie - just peel off hte skin first!

    green
savoury rice, supernoodles - jacket pot with baked beans, tinned spaghetti . . .

as you can see, my lunches tend to revolve heavily around quick things that don't take much cooking!

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I went to a barbecue on Sunday but am not strong enough to resist the food so left before it was served up :rotfl: . Weigh in was last night and that was sooooo funny. Got to the centre and there were 2 cars blocking the entrance to the car park so I pulled up on the double yellow lines and waited. Turns out the caretaker hadn’t turned up to open the centre so they’d set up the scales outside the gates for anyone who wanted to get weighed. As I was there I jumped on the scales:

    1 lB off please^^

Although I’m sure it’s because the scales were on a different surface. I know I avoided the barbecue but there were too many other temptations over the weekend

Welcome to Logos and Serenity37 :j

As always some fabulous posts and stories and I'm only up to page 75 and have to go back to work now :p .

You are all amazing and beautiful people :A .

So I spend the weekend, getting wet, running around, decorating, putting stuff on ebay and come back to see not 1 page, not 2 pages, but 10 bloomin pages of stuff! Was it that bad a weekend no-one went out?

So before I read for England, and bearing in mind I have a little bit of running around to do today, I start with some news.

    1. Went to the gym yesterday, well it was raining! Went straight on the the threadmill and 46min 50sec later, albeit with a few minutes walking and probably a minutes pause to grab some water I completed my first 5 Miler!!! :j

    2. Decorating the bedroom went well, so much so, we are having new carpet tomorrow :)

    3. Ebay'd some bits and pieces including the jeans that on 31st December 2005 caused the tears and the 'lightbulb moment' Took a photo of me in them for that Barry Bethall moment. (What is with me and photos ) Anyone fancy a pair of 50 inch waist KAM Jeans? I dont think I ever wore them!

Victory, shame the M&S deal wasnt that good, I actually drunk over half bottle of wine on Saturday, pretty good for me, did steak and salad pitta, in fact I have had meat and salad pittas a few times now, very nice too! Bikini or swimsuit, you will still look great :)

Bails as KPC says your a babe ;) remember my marks out of two comment :D

Missy, hope all goes well, your getting no sympathy from me as you asked for none :D But if you wanted none, why post it  I couldnt follow the logic there? Still well done on the nice comments from the GP, walking on air that day methinks? :) Offer always open regarding scrabble :) Top scoring with the half pound loss also!!

Ajax how did it all go? Grub sounds good. If you want to become the page 1 fella, you only have to ask, no need to post yourself for the hell of it, :p I saw a couple celebrating their Oak Anniversary in the paper!

    Looking Great there Jules :j

Vix, not sure if I can go now to Silverstone, It looks like the only weekend I have spare to fit the new French Door/Back Door and Window :( might depend on the weather. Drat drat and double drat

Excellent news form you Delly, been working hard at it so well done, also to the Scrabble playing Dragon Top scoring!!

Well Done KymRob, Safesound Annie on the loss FFM on your loss/STS :) and to you Sue on the STS

Welcome to you Logos, Serenity, KittyKat100, Cookinmummy, Kit, Sophie Can I suggest you have a look the first page for helpful links and information :)

Right got to page 81 and then time is now against me, have to run MrsS' Son to a college interview.

    Back soon

    Have a good day all

was watching a living tv old show last night about a lady who had food phobias and also binge ate, the counsellor comes along and helps her but as a test 3 weeks into it decides the best thing to do for her is fill her fridge and cupboards with the trigger foods (I so disagree, I mean what is the point to that?) anyway the lady leaves them for 48 hours and then binges on the lot, goes into every secret place and eats it all, obviously I say why have it there? What theraphy is that? The lady felt awful, I felt for her and still cannot see the point, the programme ends when the counsellor does it again and this time the lady does not eat them all in one go.....from a struggler here I am really annoyed with the do good counsellor and not surprised her 'cure' failed:rolleyes:

I have a dilema! How can I convince my overweight family to buy healthy food? Both my parents and teenage brother are very overweight. I'm in the normal range but slightly heavier than i'd like to be. It's so hard to stay on a diet in this house because of all the rubbish that gets bought in here!
So, any advice to make them change their ways?

The prob is like Sarah fergie found in her Hull prog people get used to what they eat and get in a way 'addicted' to preservatives, e numbers etc so they need more and eat more, catch 22 etc, my family for example were not overweight at all but ate badly, I changed what they eat by watching progs on the tele and explaining to them that this was bad or that wasfull of sugars and fats, it helped they are both at school and get told not to bring this and that in their lunch boxes and have talks about good foods that are healthy.
I also explained to them if they ate that they would run faster, play better football, live longer not become diabetic like me etc, there was stumbling blocks like taking their crisps away but they we replaced with rice cakes, snack a jacks, ryvita biscuits and now they enjoy all of that.
The fruit bowl was constantly full and the satsumas at xmas went down a storm and still get them now.
The kids love apples and bananas, rasberries and strawberries and I cannot keep up with how quickly they eat it now:D

The bread was swapped for wholemeal or pitta which they love stuffed with salad stuff and tuna, the evening meals no oil was used, just frylight, I started to bake thanks to the grocery challenge so I know how much sugar, salt etc is in what I give them, they have purer meals now with no additives, they do go to Macs now and again but it is a treat, they enjoy it and do not ask for it all the time.

The butter got swapped for flora extra lights, the cheeses for philadelphia extra light, slowly but surely everything can be changed for the better healthier versions:D

... it went - as we say 'round here - bostin' Steve Austin. Got absolutely unsensibled and the food was great. Don't regret it a bit, although right back on track now.

Just remembered a third obstacle too - Captain's Day at the golf club is a day I refuse to be good on. Just means I have to work harder in the 5 weeks around it.

No page 1 fella for me thanks.... you can keep that accolade all for yourself :)

Well done on the five miles - only 21m 385 yds to go :D

    PS what's an Oak Anniversary?
