feeling very hungry right now - just been writing the updates for my websites - biscuits, salad dressings and mayo amongst other things. So, best get my scrambled eggs on quick! BB nice to see that you have a plan, I'm sure you will see things going in the right direction. Erlqueen, part of me wishes i had stayed in west yorkshire at weekend too, maybe then I wouldn't have a sodden tent taking over the garden.

on a totally different note, does anyone know anything about feeding wild birds? OH bought some trill ( yes, i know, i wrote 'bird food' on the shopping list) and i seem to recall that you aren't supposed to give it to wild birds but mr t won;t take it back . . .

Hi KPC - not sure about Trill, isn't that for budgies? Wild birds might eat it, and I can't see that it would do them much harm, but don't quote me! We put food out for the birds, we have a mixture of different kinds to attract different species - raw peanuts in their shells (magpies and jays love them), fatballs for the tits and sparrows, and hanging seed feeders with a mixture including teasel, sunflower and other seeds, which attracts finches. Ground feeding birds such as robins, wrens, blackbirds and woodpigeons pick up seeds that are dropped by the aerial feeders. We also put bacon rind and fat trimmed from meat out, which the magpies and rooks like. Another thing that will attract wild birds to your garden is water - to drink and to splash about in.

It could also be that having no goal other than to sts could make a difference? Knowing you dont have to lose a lb ect sub consciously could result in you eating a bit more or doing a bit less? It must be hard to go from losing to staying the same.

One of the hardest things with maintaining is that at the end of the week you are trying to STS. There is always a slight feeling of disappointment at not having lost anything. After a year or so of losing, it is difficult to change that mind set that 'losing is good'.

I think that I am working just as hard trying not to lose any more whilst not putting any on. It is a very mixed bag of emotions. A feeling of having succeeded but that it could be snatched away if not watched closely.

I'm not sure if I will ever truly relax about food.

BB, big hugs for you gal, you know I know. I hope venting has helped a little? The walk sounds like a very positive thing so I do hope you're able to make it. At the very least, you are still being proactive about it all and thinking through the potential reasons for it and how you can help yourself within your limitations. You deserve a bloody medal for always being such a positive force on here (and throughout life) and I hope refocusing on your own needs a little more can bring you back into balance. Big love gorgeous xxxxxx

Beanie, the choccy fountain sounds well worth it, haven't tried one myself but need to add it to my list!

I survived the spa trip relatively - nay, completely - unscathed I'm pleased to report! :D Things are on the up.
Being antisocial so got to go, normal service won't be resumed here til next Wednesday or after though as we're off to Holland on Thursday.

Good luck with it all everyone! xx

    Hello :)

I think I just gained 2 pounds looking at that slice of cake!

I'm not having a good day today - I'm constantly feeling hungry, and I've just given in to temptation when DH produced a tube of Pringles that he'd bought at the weekend. :o I think maintaining has a demotivating effect, maybe that's why people find it so hard when they're at goal. I need to focus to make sure I get a loss this week, so though I've blown it today, tomorrow will be Day One.

I'm off to concentrate on the Apprentice - catch you later!
