hmmm, jsut posted and it's gone! how odd.
anyway, wow starlight, you are amazing! and all out other losers.. V impressed at granny venturing inot the gym. I've just been for a long walk - well long by my standards anyway. Also been busy trying a new recipe which is now on the recipe thread because it's actually a lw one. It's one i'd never even heard of - pasta fasool - but apparently it's in the Dean MArtin song 'thats amore'. It is absolutely gorgeous though and definitely worth a go. A real carb fest!

ajax depends how many eggs you use , just beat them well with a little milk and start at 2 minutes in the microwave [ mixed with the cooked savoury rice ] and just cook until set keep adding another 30 seconds , Good luck and tell me if you've tried it . A lot in my sw class mix a pkt of buttery smash with cooked savoury rice as well and shape into potato cakes and fry with a little frylight you could try that as welll:T Never Too Old to learn :T0

Bitterly disappointed to report a 0.25lb gain.
In the past two weeks I have:- On average, eaten 1271 calories per day, well below what would usually be needed to maintain
- Done decent formal exercise 12 out of 14 days, plus all my normal walking and kept active much of the time
I'll get over it in a minute, just needed to vent

Are you sure you haven't converted some fat to muscle? They say muscle weighs more.
Do you keep a record of your measurements? Another of the weekly Rosemary Conley charts (sorry forgot to mention it last time I was telling you about the RC Diet & Fitness Journal), is to measure your arms, chest, waist, hips, widest part, thighs, and knees, I've also added calfs to this 'cos I'm not happy with mine - chunky legs. It helps you to see where you are getting smaller/bigger - if you are even changing size - at least you would know.
Whatever you do, don't reduce your calories too much, perhaps increase a bit for a week to reassure your body that all is well.

I lost my weight following the GI Jean Diet - I've lost 48lb and am now trying to STS. The good thing with Rosemary Conley's diets is that they can be used to feed the whole family and the food is normal food, which means the diet is sustainable.
I wouldn't part with my book either, it's got great advice and superb recipes. The magazines are also good for motivating stories and recipes - my OH looks through when my magazine arrives and reads the success stories. Last month he checked out the recipes and told me what he wanted me to cook - bloomin' cheek - I'm on the grocery challenge and had the whole month pre-planned. He's going to have to wait til June for the new recipes.
You can get back issue magazines from Ebay - usually worth the money. The GI Jeans book you could get from Ebay or Amazon, although you might want to try the new GI Hip and Thigh Diet - that's got great recipes too, and the principles are exactly the same.

Thanks FFM for your reply.I'm going to seriously look into getting her new book. I did have a piece of Butternut squash tart at my friend the other night and it was gorgeous (one of the recipes).Off to look on ebay now

Hi all and well done all the losers, which I'm ceasing to become at present!
Can you please help me with what to eat during the evening. I'm fine the rest of the day and never get food cravings, but I get ravenous for something sweet (blessed curse) at about 7.30 through to 8.30 in the evening and have been having a box (6) of cheapy tea cakes.....which has now led to creeping up to 2 more from another box, making a total of 8 that I could do without. They don't seem too bad for calories etc, but is there anything, that I just can't think of, that will hit the spot without putting weight on or am I asking the impossible?
Even if they don't make me put too much weight on, it still makes me feel huge afterwards every time, guilt I guess.

I don't have a sweet tooth, but when I get a craving I find pineapple is great for a zingy sweet treat. As long as it's chopped from the fruit, and not from a tin swimming in syrup!:DDebt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

.....oh what can it mean to a....
Morning everyone.
Wendy, these are some great ideas you're coming up with. Don't stop now
Delly, hello xx Have fun with your purchase. I'd imagine you would - Aerobics Oz Style is one of the best programs on telly :whistle:0 -
Missyg, how much does your weight vary over the course of the day? I can weigh 3 -4 lbs more in the evening than in the morning which I guess is to do with hydration levels changing overnight. (Although I've never understood how 4lbs of water can come out of my body in 8 hours without me noticing). So your 0.25 lb could be due to a slight change in the time of day you weighed? or a very slight movement in the postions of the scales, or a million other things.
Please don't beat yourself up. You know that you've eaten and exercised just as you should (or even eaten a bit less and exercised a bit more than you should) so it will sort itself out. Don't go into panic mode and try even harder, please.
That isn't meant to sound dictatorial or patronising, i hope it doesn't ... you've got this whole LW stuff sorted out much better than me.0
