I believe I had found the cheapest Freeview box out there! Just been walked past my local Currys in Loughborough and saw half price freeview box advertised. So I went in to see if they had any instock....and they had loads!!!!
They were £69.99 but now half price at only £34.99!!!
It is a FERGUSON FDT 500
FEATURES:
Remote Control
RF Loop Through
Digital Text
Electronic Programme Guide
Timer Function
1 No of Scarts
Scart cable included
Silver Colour
Hope this helps people, I presume it must be a countrywide offer!!??

I bought one of these yesterday in Reading after seeing the tv advert.
Seems to be a pretty good machine (unlike the Bush from Tesco's which I had to return twice beofre getting my money back).
No ability to "upgrade" to top-up tv but you can move the channel order and the on screen graphics are clear/eas-to-read etc.
The only problem I had was that I first went to COMET rather than CURRY'S. Maybe it's old-age but I get these two confused since Comet changed from the orange colour scheme to red and white!0 -

HUMAX PVR 8000T
FREEVIEW (NO SLOT) PLUS HARDDRIVE RECORDER.
Had one for a while now at approx £120 not cheap by any means but being able to get rid of all those video casettes was well worth it.
Records just like sky+ you can pause live tv and return to it when the tea has brewed!
FAB :D
Where can you get this for £120?
I am looking for a Freview PVR and am considering this or the fusion fvrt100, which has two tuners, but this is £180.0 -
I see the Boots Technosonic Freeview box which was on offer of the week is on offer of the week for this week as well!! Mum and Dad got one and very impressed with the tiny size of the box, easy setup/operation and quite fast to change channels. Comes with 2 Scart connectors as well, very good value for £39 and much better than the old ITV digital boxes (apart from you don't get a card slot but no great loss maybe!).0

Thanks Niggy!
The 80gb Humax is good at QED £139 delivered
The other sites, 247 and easybuy have got pretty miserable reviews, so I'll avoid them.
I still have a leaning towards the fusion fvrt100, as it has twin tuners where I can record two channels at the same time. This is £169 delivered.
If the humax was £120, then the price differrence at £50
would have led me to go for it.
