Back on line after a few days away training with work - good course but my brain really hurts this morning!
Very behind on jobs so this weekend will be very OS indeed, need to make some bread, stock up the freezer, get on top of the laundry and plod on with making Christmas cards and presents.

Morning everyone
I've started the morning blitz, but just sat down for a coffee and browse before i tackle the bathroom and bedroms. Who makes such a mess overnight
Anyway, today I shall aim to do some washing, it's not raininng here yet so I have put one load on the line but it's a bit foggy still.
I'm making a chicke pie for dinner tonight, with a suet pastry top ( as it's quick to make) from a reduced chicken I boiled yesterday. The best bits I shall freeze to try one of the famous CQ curries with next week.
i have to make somehting ready for dinner tommorrow as I shall be at work. Give the OH one less thing to worry about. I've also given my sourdough chef a refresh this morning, and can't wait to actually make some sourdough bread in about another 4 days time.
Other than that i shall take it fairly easy as I start work at 6am tommorrow and possibly 4am on Sunday.
Hope everyone's day is a good one.

I'm having one of those days where I'm really twitchy and want to get on with something but can't actually find a single thing that I want to do. There's loads I can do... just nothing I feel like getting out of this chair for.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Hello everyone,
The last two days I've been resting up and just doing what needs to be done. Been having "girl" trouble again. Ho Hum. I've made an appt with my doctor for Tuesday. I just know what she's going to say (again)I made a lovely tea tonight. It was called Crusty Chicken Casserole. Will post it later in the recipes. DD is having a lovely holiday. She's in Cairns for two weeks. So far she hasn't found any rich eligible men but I told her to keep trying. She's 23. How else will she able to afford a maid, cook, cleaner & ironing lady. I won't live forever you know.:rotfl:
Hope you all have a nice day.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

I know that feeling too.
I have felt like that all week. I just go and do some baking, trouble is my waist line is expanding fast.0 -
Morning all.
Having trouble typing today - I seem to have got the flu-bug DD had (she's only got the runny nose and cough now) and every joint in my body is aching. The only way to stop my arms aching is to hang them straight down at my sides so I'm going to get some paracetamol and hope that helps can't even take ibuprofen as they make me ill
Had a reasonable day yesterday - did the weekly shop, posted my ebay parcels and scrubbed the wheelie bin and front of the house including cleaning the livingroom window! I've also almost caught up with the washing up (just two big mixing bowls and yesterdays which I didn't do last night). I did 4 loads of laundry yesterdayI dug out the winter bedding and sorted that out - I'm just putting it on a rinse in the machine instead of washing them as they are clean, just a bit whiffy from being stored. Then I was in bed by 9.30pm as I was sooo tired. Don't remember seeing 10pm so I must have been bad! Only woke up twice - early hours and then at 6am when OH's alarm went off. Great improvement on recent nights sleep.
Today I'm going to have a computer day - mainly because I haven't the energy to clean! I'll still have to do the dishes and meals but thats all I'm doing today!!!
I was sorting out the pile of papers on the desk this morning and found an ASDA receipt from this financial month which I haven't entered in my budget. That means the budget is well and truely blown sooooo.... I'm setting up an account in Money which will be purely my bank account break down (food budget, direct debits etc all as seperate accounts) as I do all the spending (OH has 1 direct debit and petrol money from his account, excluding transfers to me) but the money is disappearing again. I WILL do that today as I want to find out where I am "wasting" money. Setting up a spread sheet is just too complicated for my brain.
Right, off to get another cup of hot apple & blackcurrent juice (third one today!) then I'll do neopetsand get on with money.

Morning all - Another bright sunny day here today - although a bit breezy so I've stripped the beds to take advantage of the drying weather.
Got DD2 home from school today - she's got a stinking cold and her ears and throat are sore, she's snuggled up on the sofa watching a dvd and keeps asking when lunch is!!
DH got paid today - got his new payrise included in this months money too so bank account looked really healthy.....but the smug feeling was short lived when I found out the dishwasher has sprung a leak and the kitchen floor is all lifting in one corner!!!!!! Then DH got in the car and it made a very sick noise and refused to start, called out the breakdown people and they think it's a combination of duff battery and starter motor on it's way out! I know I should be pleased that there's money in the account to cover the repairs but isn't it just sods law!!!
Going to make some pies and quiches (didn't get chance yesterday) and DD has requested ham and cheese straws for lunch. Need to stick some bread going too, got lots of veg that needs using up so might make a cold pasta salad too.
Anyway - hope you're all feeling well and happy today."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
