Early is'nt it. I have to get ready for work, and always check my post, as it were. I shall run to TESCO real quick and get the local paper as I am hoping to be in it, and a few croisant and head for work...

  • Morning all - have got daughter's breakfast, made sandwiches and lunch for all, put a load on the washing machine and am just about to jump in the bath - intend to stick a loaf in the breadmaker before I do the school run and cycle off to work!!
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
  • Update!!

Bread has been made :A It actually tastes OK. Abit heavy but fine-have worked out it has cost me about 25p...does that sound correct?

OH & DD could only manage one slice-so even more money saved..lol.

  • hello everyone

sorry you had another bad night P-P :(

I think everything is catching up with me now. Went to bed with a bad head and the sore throat I have been fighting off for a couple of days is back, along with a very hoarse cough. Feeling all bunged up and sinusy too. Oh well, it's not too bad in the great scheme of things :)

I'm eating my brekkie - porridge with sultanas and prunes on the top. I always know when summer is over when I have to resort to tinned prunes on me porridge instead of fresh strawbs. :D Have to make DS1's lunch in a minute and get him off to school. (I love not having to do the morning run every day now :))

Today I'm going tomum's and vaxing her carpets/chairs/mattress. This was brought about by the fact that DS2 decided to wet the floor FOUR times last week - whilst stood in front of her pc (he gets so engrossed in it and forgets) so four accidents in the same place really means the carpet needs cleaning properly sooner rather than later.

Only got the living room, hall and downstairs loo cleaned properly yesterday but Mr TM actually went and cleared all DS1's toys off his floor last night so at least I can get in there again. Will do some more cleaning depending on whether I get back from mum's before the school run this pm. Tea will probably be sausages and maybe mash (but had mash for the last 2 nights so will ask everyone)

OK, off to surf whilst I finish me porridge. Have a good day everyone :)

  • Morning!!

Up at 6am, showered and now ready for work! Raining here and not as warm, so autumnal clothes pulled out of the wardrobe!

DS2 all ready to go to my mom's, just got to bribe (sorry - encourage) DS1 to get washed/dressed and ready for school. Bags all packed, lunches done!

    School run then onto work!!

    Have a good day everyone!!!!!!!

  • Morning everyone.

Sorry to hear you had another pad night PP.
TM if you are feeling unwell don't run yourself into the ground. You will only make yourself worse.

Right I need a seriously big kick up the rear, as I have had no energy or enthusiasm this week. I have lots of little jobs to do but really can't be bothered. I managed to bake a couple of cakes yesterday and cook dinner but that was about it.

Today I need to pop to Lidls, to top up on some bits for the weekend, and then change the beds. I need to get on and make a meal plan as well for the next couple of weeks using up whats in the freezer etc.

See it doesn't look to bad but I just carn't be faffed today.
    Someone shout at me.:D

About 25p per loaf sounds fine to me. :)

Can you return the favour please as I feel pretty much the same this morning

Waking up every hour on the hour last night didn't help though so I feel shattered this morning, but at least my shoulder is much better today and just aches a bit now :j

Loads of jobs desparately need doing which I've not been able to do for days cos of the pain, like hoovering, mopping the floors etc, so want to try get that done today. Need to think about giving the carpets a shampoo too at some point in preparation for moving out but I wonder if that might be easier done once everything's out and I don't have to work around the furniture etc

Really need to think seriously about scaling down my reptile collection too as they're going to be a logistical nightmare to move, and several have been ready for re-homing for a long time now but I've just hung on to them, as well as all the new babies this summer which are doing well and almost ready to go, so time to think about advertising them I think.

Not sure about dinner yet but I've got some ham, peppers and mushrooms need using up so either pizza or something with pasta I think. I also need to try and make an inventory of the storecupboards _pale_ so I can do some meal plans to use things up. Already got one for the freezer so I know what's in there as long as I remember to update it  I didn't get any shopping from Tesco this week and gonna try not to next week either and just send DS to the local shops for milk, veggies etc so that will save some money!

I think another :coffee: is in order before I make a start on anything though :D
