Hi I used Unlock Factory to unlock my Orange Samsung C3050, it cost £3.40 , the unlock code took 24hrs to get to me along with a note to say that this code is temporary i.e. you need to re-enter the code everytime the phone is switched on & off. Along with a note to refer to their T&Cs, however in their T&Cs it said " In some instances a temporary unlock code will be issued these codes need to be entered each time you reset your handset
There is a big difference between ON & OFF & RESET.
I have requested a permanent code or money back. :mad:0 -
I did reply to this but my post seems to have disappeared when I updated it. I used unlock database for my son when he went to the States on Wednesday - and the code did not work which was a problem as he got seriously delayed in Detroit. Also when I got the code it said it was for a temporary unlock as stated in their "terms and conditions" -it does not say that on the home page only in th small print on the next page that in some instances you might get a temproary codeand. You would have to put in the code and follow the instructions each time you switched off and on the phone - not really a proper unlocked phone with an increased sale value which they say on the home page. Anyway I sent the letter that a previous poster on this forum put up and got a refund this morning after quoting the relevant legislation - so quick refund which is good but no unlocked phone. Other solutions - my son's friend bought his phone for £20 from Carphonewarehouse and it was already unlocked or it will cost £15 from O2 to unlock the phone. It needs to be unlocked as he bought a special dual number Sim for use in the States so he does not run up large phone bills.
In the end I spent £25 unlocking my X10 mini-pro ... sort of worth it though as it worked a treat. I still think £25 is quite a lot to pay but I got the phone at a bargain basement price so I didn't mind paying more than I would normally.

Hello,
For my unlock jobs I always used unlockthatmobile com
I have unlocked the 4 mentioned phones so far with this site. They ask you for the imei number which is the serial number of the phone and they always want to know on which cellular provider the phone is locked.
I have always paid for the unlock codes however when I purchase the phone it is always on contract and so adding 10 to 20$ is no big deal. I think it is better to purchase the unlock via code rather than doing it by software since all you have to do is enter it in the phone and that's it.

hi,
can anyone help me with unlocking a nokia 6070. i've tried reading as many posts as i can but not come across any mentions. i've been to the nokia unlock site, but this phone is not in the list.it is locked to Orange. i have the imei number, and did manage to get 2 unlock codes, but they didn't work. phone just said code error.
ive had the phone for years, and it was only a cheap phone at the time, but it did what i wanted, make calls and texts.i want to use the phone in Turkey, with a Turkcell sim,but had it tested in a Turkcell shop and it wo'nt work with a Turkish sim, and the phone would need to be registered in Turkey for it to keep working.or so i am told. i now use skype or messenger to phone home, because Orange charges £1.39 per min.for payg calls so a Turkcell chip would enable me to make cheaper local calls.
i tried ringing Orange, and they seemed to be offering a puk ? code but what i have read so far that coul be an unblock code rather than unlock code, but i didn't go any farther.0 -
Hi
I have a Blackberry Storm, which was contracted through Vodafone - I now live abroad and need the unlock code. On the vodafone website they say they provide unlock codes for free all handsets except BB and the iPhone, so no luck there.
Can anyone recommend a secure online unlock service - many sites seem to have the code available for a small fee when I enter the IMEI code, but I have no idea which sites I can trust / that are reputable. I am not looking for a free service nec. just one that is cheaper than Vodafone at £19.99 (I am a student!).
Thanks!!0 -

I found unlocks.co.uk which apparently unlocks blackberries for free. I am waiting for unlock code (up 2 10days) and will report if that worked.
