• Dear All,

I am trying to unlock a Nokia 6303 classic locked to orange network. I had been to many high street prof unlockers in Glasgow and all of them said they can' t do it as the unlocking code is not available for them.

Orange won't unlock it, untill you use it for 3 months plus you have to pay 20£.

Anybody came across a reliable unlockong service online? Please let me know

I also bought a code from unlocksolution. I was going to write off the loss as a learning experience, but sent the following message using their online form:

"Please can you supply a full refund of £5.74 GBP to my Paypal account. Your terms and conditions are very misleading, and unless a full refund is issued, as well as raising a dispute with Paypal, I will be taking this matter up with all of the relevant Trading Standards departments. My rights are protected under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, and this correspondence is well within the seven day cooling off period.

Thanks"

Within a few minutes the refund was credited. As a consumer, it is always worth quoting the exact name of any rights or regulations that you are protected by, and be firm yet polite.

This worked a treat on the site unlockcodes2u.com. Within hours of sending the email, the money was safely back in my paypal account. I reckon these guys just hope people will write off the loss and let sleeping dogs lie. Don't let them get away with it!
• The forum has been cleaned up ! On Friday I saw help to unlock a Samsung U600 and I didn't note down the details. Does anyone know how (I am currently on a French network in France - but returning to the UK and want to change to a UK PAYG).
Thanks
• Hi guys,

Any suggestions where I can get a reliable unlocking code for a Nokia 5800 locked to t-mobile?
My LG KF750 (don't get it, it's absolute rubbish) has been failing on me since about 6 months into my contract....

My friend gave me their 5800 when they moved to O2 but now t-mobile can't unlock it as it is no longer an active account. The local shop can't unlock it and I have no idea of a good website to use, hearing too many stories of it not working.

Help! :)
• I have a pay as you go Nokia 3600s on the Orange network.
The market stalls who unlock locally all say that they cannot unlock my particular phone.
I phoned Orange who say if I'm on a contract they'd unlock it after 90days charging £20.00.
They say, however, that they are'unable to request unlock codes against terminated pay as you go account'
Anyone any idea, therefore, how I unlock my phone?
I previously tried various companies on internet, but they couldn't do it.
• Where do I start if I want to unlock phones - where is the best place to get information?

Is there a software that anybody can recommend?
• (Am I doing this in the right place?) Please, please does anyone know the unlocking code for a Siemens A60 phone. Many thanks!
• Hi,

I recently took advantage of the Tesco 1000 points for mobile deal and got 2 Samsung M150s. I just can't, for the life of me, get them unlocked from things I've seen online. The cheapest I can see for getting a code is about £15. As the phones only cost £25 each, seems a bit steep. I urgently need to find a place where I can get them unlocked for a reasonable price.
Many thanks,

LT

I'm looking to buy a nokia 6730 on ebay to use with my o2 sim, these are all exclusive to vodafone though. Can anyone confirm that I will be able to get it unlocked and give me a rough estimate of cost?

Any help is appreciated..

I thought folks would like to know what happen when I bought a t-mobile locked phone on ebay a few weeks ago.

I asked the previous owner if he would make sure it was unlocked befor sending it. TMobile told him that it would take several weeks before they could send him the unlock code for the the Tocco F480. - and charge 15pounds.

I then looked on here to see what other people had experienced, and on ebay for unlock codes for the dTocco f480. Only to discover that it is NEARLY ALWAYS impossible to unlock from TMobile.

Ok - so I called T-mobile on their customer service line - listened to the recoded messages for ages before getting through to a real person. After a long conversation I was told that I had to have the phone registered with TMobile before they would even consider unlocking it.

SO I get register the phone on tmobile website - set up an account as advised. and then read all the information to see how I can unlock the Tocco F480 - nothing.

I then call TMobile again and ask for the code now that I am a registered member... errrrr No I will need to wait for 3 MONTHS!

I then came across an email address for their complaints investigation section and wrote to them. Explaining what had happened, the information I had been given by TMobile customer services, and that only on other information forums was the infomation that I would be charged upto £25 for the unlock code. I also said that it was unfair for non-tmobile callers have to wait for ages on the phone. But I also made it clear that the handset(ToccoF480) had completed its contract term and did not belong to TMobile anymore.

With in 12 hours I got a response from a TMobile Customer complaints adviser who bascially said that as I was NOT A TMOBILE there would be NO CHARGE to unlock my Toccof480.

Contacting the right person really works. And for anyone who needs to unlock a TMobile handset(for free?) I do suggest emailing the customer complaints department first - DONT call - email. cust.rel@t-mobile.co.uk

Hope this helps!
