  • As unlocking seemed so easy on first glance I bought my daughter Sony Ericsson W350i for her birthday with the intention of unlocking to her PAYG O2. Now it does not seem so easy. Any useful ideas. Also as the phone was new it did not recognise the O2 sim card nor now does it recognise the Vodaphone card that came with . Double whammy!!
  • I have recently used a site called unlocksolution.co.uk. Has anyone had a bad experience - I HAVE. They took my money (via paypal) only to tell me AFTER that my phone was not on their compatibility list (even though that make appears on the application screen). They will not give me a refund so I feel as if I have been had!!!! Please anyone be warned!!!

Hi can anybody help me, I want to unlock a Siemens A55 on PAYG Orange network, does anyone know the unlock code or where I can find the code
    thanks

I did unlock an A55 a few years ago. I think the method was to actually cross flash it to a C55.

I bought the Nokia 6500 classic thinking it would be easy to unlock. However it appears to be one of the phones that can't be remotely unlocked. Which leaves me with the option of getting it professsionally unlocked at cost of £25+, or use one of the internet services. Alternatively I could use one the ebay unlocking services at a cost of approx. £5. However this involves sending my phone away which I am loath to do, even if they have good ebay feedback.

The final alternative is for me to cut my losses and sell it on Mopay but I won't get as much as I paid for it.

Anyone got any suggestions as to how I should proceed?

    many thanks

unlocksolution won't refund so I tried Paypal, but they say they don't bother helping anyone with issues around "virtual" service's so in short tough!

I have now asked my bank to refund the money, but I doubt I'll get anywhere with them either.

So beware of using paypal for "virtual" service - you are NOT protected

I wish I'd found this before I used them
I too paid with PayPal and all they sent me was information on how to use search engines to look for unlocking codes and cables - I've already done that.

I have been asked to provide a serial number AND IMEI number. Is this normal?
