I requested my nokia 6500 classic be unlocked from Tesco on Monday night and had received the instructions by Tuesday afternoon. They said on average its 14 days, but can take up to 28 days, so an overnight job was great!! :beer:__________________________________

I have just bought an 'unlocked' Sony Ericsson C905 which I am using with my 3 sim card. I can make calls in general but I can't call voicemail and I can't access 'Planet 3' (3's free internet service). The phone interface is branded to O2 and I can't seem to clear it to an unbranded status.
Any suggestions?0 -
You'll need to change your voice mail number and internet connection settings. The details should be on the 3 site. My wife's using an o2 branded K800i on 3 with no problems. You could have it flashed to the standard or 3 operating system, but unless your technically minded it'll cost you.0

Just came to the end of my contract and arranged a new one. Was given the following method by Vodafone to unlock my handset;
NUC Procedure
1. With the Vodafone sim card inside the handset. 2. Key #pw+NUC+1# (The p w and + symbols are found by keying the * key twice for the + symbol, three times for ‘p’ and four times for ‘w’). 3. The handset should then display “Sim restriction off”
for NUC substitute your PUK key.
As it is possible to ask for your PUK code via their website (when it is up) it seems this should be possible at any time during the contract.
ps I do not have any technical knowledge to back this up!

Hi, Just wanted deter anyone considering using this online service.
I was in a hurry (first mistake) and wanted to quickly unlock a nokia phone my sister had given me. Tapped in the nokia phone's model no in the search engine and this company came up top of the list.
Anyway visted their website - all looked proper and above board. Phoned their no - got a message telling me £1.50 per min call cost. Yes, I should have hung up right there but they said it would be done in few 'moments' ( 2nd mistake!).
Its all done by automation, and after 'slowly' taking me through all the various stages I was told to 'wait' while a computer generated the unlock code. Well I finally had enough and hung up - the cost of call: £10!
I'm certain I was only on the line for 3 mins max!!!!
Don't go near them or any other comp offering an unlocking 'phone service' it's just a rip-off!0 -

I've just successfully unlocked my Siemens MC60 for free. I phoned the customer services of the network it was locked to - they emailed me the unlock code and instructions for how to use it within 24 hours. I think it may have been free as the phone is a few years old. I did have a look for an unlock code on the internet before contacting the network provider, but hadn't been able to find one.0
