Hello
I've got a Orange Nokia 5300 that was a hand me down from my Boss that I've used with my 3mobile card (I broke my own 3mobile however I didnt take the insurance and its not due for an upgrade until April). Its worked fine for 3months then suddenly locked this weekend. I've gone through the links etc and I don't think mine can be remotely unlocked (Im new to this!):
My IME is 352734013909468 on a Orange branded phone.0 -
My OH has just called Orange to ask how much they would charge to unlock her Nokia 6500 Slide so she can use a foreign SIM card whilst abroad and Orange have refused! They said they do not allow phones to be unlocked during the first three months of the contract and refused to give a reason why!
Surely this is an unfair / anti-competitive practice?!
Martin, please get on the case!0 -

- Tesco Mobile will unlock free after 90days use, or £25 before.
- Orange PAYG unlock fee is £20
- Three, O2 & T-Mobile is £15, where the phone is locked.
Further to Tesco Mobile - it IS free after 90 days use but ONLY if you have 'topped up to £25' in that time. If you haven't you can either wait until such a time as you have topped up £25 or pay the £25 fee.0 -
Avoid UltimateUnlock - Just to add a few pennenth worth to the 'Professional Unlock Services' for mobiles.
Paid my £3.50 for an unlock code for a Blackberry. A code came through a few days later with instructions that were were a little ambiguous. They did not unlock the phone. Took it to a phone shop who specialise in unlocking phones; they said that the code did not even look like a Blackberry code. I watched the guy try the code and it continued to fail. He even let me read his unlock instructions from the website he uses to prove he was not trying to get it to fail on purpose.
I received no reply at all to a stream of emails to UlimateUnlock.

Vodafone will give you the unlock code for FREE if you have a vodafone branded phone. I was not aware of this until I read up on hotdeals and then bought myself a samsung steel L810v voda branded and phone up voda CS with the phone's IMEI and request for the code and they supply the code with no question ask.
There are seller of this service on ebay for upto £10, they may have access to voda computer system or just call up voda to get the code. Hope this can be of use to people here!0 -
this is not always the case arsenalfc. some phones and the blackberry storm are locked to vodafone and we won't give unlock codes for them.
we do ask questions btw and our fraud dept monitors such things.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
Spirit perhaps you can enlighten us if all voda branded phone qualify for a free unlock code, apart from the few you mentioned.
How to qualify for an unlock code if not all codes are supplied.0
