I used unlock.mobileincanada.com and i received the unlock code in only 3 hours(overnight) and followed the instructions on the tracking page (yeah, they have a tracking page!). It worked like a charm! Now I will be able to use my phone in Europe without incurring roaming charges.0

Hi can anybody help me, I want to unlock a Siemens A55 on PAYG Orange network, does anyone know the unlock code or where I can find the code
thanks0 -
chicko - I'm not aware that any 5800's were actually locked. Have you actually tried the O2 sim in the phone? if it is indeed locked buy the unlock code or a turbo sim from ebay should do the trick. Shouldn't cost more than £10.
jon_r - People have reported that O2 PAYG 5800 are unlocked from dial-a-phone although I don't have first hand experience of it. I do know the vodafone PAYG ones are unlocked.
cueball - If you google it there are loads of places that can supply an unlock code for a fee. Personally I would just buy a cheap up to date phone with a colour screen, that handset is ancient.0 -

I have a sony which I want to unlock, so I did a search on the web and found plenty of people willing to help for a few quid.
HOWEVER they take all sorts of technical details and then simply provide a generic report which is of no value!
Watch out for:
vertisco dot com (Charged £2.99, but did refund via paypal when asked)
unlocksolution dot co dot uk (Charged £4.56 and are still refusing to refund, and are hiding behind very shady terms)

unlocksolution won't refund so I tried Paypal, but they say they don't bother helping anyone with issues around "virtual" service's so in short tough!
I have now asked my bank to refund the money, but I doubt I'll get anywhere with them either.
So beware of using paypal for "virtual" service - you are NOT protected
