Morning all! It's a beautiful sunny day here.

Today is going to be a good day. I am determined. I got up early, went to the post office, picked up some milk, did the recycling, post and washing up, cooked OH breakfast so he had breakfast in bed (he's more fed up than me so could do with a smile). Now I'm at work briefly to fight the freeze drier for a bit then I'm going home to make some some chocolate muffins. OH is photocopying papers for [strike]armageddon[/strike] ahem, financial mediation as his appointment is Monday. Still, at least it means that the debt he has is recorded formally. Our first house guest arrives at about 6pm (the sane one)

Smokey - hugs for you, thanks for posting. I'm sure your garden will be wonderful when it's finished. :)
PP - sorry for your loss, hugs for you and your DH
    Awhhh.. congrats Splodge12! :o
Hester... albert 5 rings?!? :rotfl::rotfl: :rotfl: Please tell me he works for BT and save my innocence... :rotfl::rotfl:
martyn - have a great birthday - (if you see shewhomustnotbementioned, you could try my sisters recipe for "sneaky revenge cookies" and take her one as you are sure she'd want to celebrate with you - apparently senna chocolate and normal chocolate are totally indistinugishable when baked. Best eaten cold apparently :) )

have a good day, cel x

    Hi

    Celyn
No I don't think he had a job of any sort, he probably found it too difficult to get out of bed in the morning.

I have such a picture in my mind, I suppose it saves trying to get paint out of clothes

I have had a great afternoon shopping-among the many bargains were 6 lonsdale tops (tracksuit tops and hooded tops - over £200 retail price) for just £19.00 (all reduced in sportsworld).

Had a lovely visit over to see kyle and family - nephew3 seemed to like his pressie so that was good! Hopefully kyle will be able to come across tomorrow and see my dress so that will be nice. The cake twink made was great :D Going to spend the rest of the day chatting to twink and crocheting and watching tv :T

    - Yes, it was Lakeside! What a shame! I suppose we did go on the spur of the moment though, as I didn't know if DH would be feeling up to it. Next time we go, I'll try to PM you, on the off-chance you're planning to go too.

Well, decided to use up lurking bread for curried nut loaf tonight...in additon to ingredients listed I managed to secrete various left over stuff...half a can of chickpeas, one iffy tomato, some sticks of celery, some shallots best before some time ago. Made double, but mixture looked quite firm, so have done a big one for tonight and some burger shaped ones for the freezer, will come in handy another time.

Also wedges (potatoes best before many moons ago, but I keep bringing them out, cauliflower and tomato concoction from freezer (my lot like something 'wet' with their food.

Made a carrot and cardamom cake with lurking carrots and end of pack of ghee (prehistoric) and it's the first cake I've made with gluten free flour, so am hoping that it turns out well! Fridge is looking a bit better now. Must see what else I can bung stuff in this week, as I'm trying for a low spend. Won't be no spend as I'll need fruit/veg/dairy/eggs.
