OS Daily Sat 12th April 08

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 12 april. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning. Just about awake. Work has been manic and I did not finish until midnight. Back in at 8. I know that's against the euro rights and that, but I can finish earlyier that way. The past 3 days have just been overtime, late home and non stop. I made a few extra pennies out of it, so there is some consolation.

Heavy showers and cold here this morning, so I shall look forward to being tucked up in the office for a while.

I don't know what else is going on as I have not really done anything else but work... Hope you folks have a nice day. With a bit of luck I may be home by 5 and can have a nice chinese and bottle of vino..
Sunday off..

Cheers

    Morning :hello:

I'm never usually up at this time on a weekend so don't expect a post on the daily next Saturday at this time!
DD2 has a competiton todayhence the early start. Now I'm up I will put the WM on. Clear dry and cold here so laundry might have to go in the TD as I don't think it will do much if I put it out on the line.

DD2's teacher loved the recipes I sent in, so I will probably hear through the week how she's getting on, if she's tried any of course.

(((hugs)))to all who are in need today

    See you all later

    Morning all.

It's a reasonably warm start and the sun is shining in more ways than one today.

Firstly apologies for whinging on the Daily last night. It's no excuse but I'd had a poor day. And HJ, no offence was intended about the "premier league". They ARE nice people but I'm not sure I've got it quite as bad as some of them.

Now then, you lovely people you :D I thought today was going to be carp but due to totally unexpected texts, cards and messages, it's looking completely different now. You know who you are so thank you very much :A :A :A And considering that there are another two campsites within 1/2 a mile of me, someone figuring out where I live is bordering on fanatical :D

    Thank you all again.

    Martyn.

    Good Morning All

Glad you are feeling better Martyn - have a fantastic birthday
(((hugs))) all round especially to Smokey and family.

I am very glad to say that yesterday I did all the ironing, there will be a small amount today but that will get done.

Saw my invoice factoring man last night & now it is all set up which is a relief, dont want to do it for too long as it is expensive but at least for the next few months I wont have to worry if our main client pays late.

Lovely and sunny here at the moment but it was yesterday then turned black & we had a lot of rain, hopefully will hold off until after DS has finished football training.

Today think I will potter about, also will visit the library as I am on my last book at the moment.

    That about if for now.
    Have a great Saturday.

    Morning all
Well it's only just gone 7am & so far I've taken hubby to the station (todays grumpy man is carrying a pair of trestles) got the washing on the line, Fed the fish, tonights tea Cottage pie made & in the fridge & a rice pudding in the SC, DW is only part full so not started yet, ditto the washing machine, Ive checked Myspace & Facebook for updates, I'm now the official babysitter for the local group Secret Wepon & now I'm sat here with a cuppa.
To make up for all this activity I shall probably do nothing else all day.
    Hugs to Smokey
    Started knitting yet Martyn?
    Have a good day everyone
    Hugs Hester

  • Morning Guys!

    ((((((((((((Smokey))))))))))))

    Hope you are all well.

We came back early as OH's gran died Wed evening and he is devastated-they were very close.

Holiday went ok. We managed to visit Newquay zoo and we went to Truro. Also had a couple of cream teas out, but I had to spend 4 days in bed, but at least it was a different 4 walls.

2 loads of washing to do and hopefully it will br hun on the line. House clean and tidy.

    Hugs to all

    Morning all

Up bright and early and off out shopping soon to beat the Saturday crowds. WM and DW rumbling away. Got ironing mounting to scale today and must make some cakes as supplies are running low and mum wants some too so will make an extra batch to take up to her on Monday.

Happy Birthday Martyn - keep smiling, especially when you know who is watching :D

Have a good day everyone - byeeeeeee
