happy birthday to the birthday boys.

i'm sniggering at master tru and girlfriend, but maybe that's because my oldest girl is only 5, so i have a way to go til i'm facing teenagers. ;)

on my third load of washing, weather fine in cardiff so my washing line is full already. mr gin is assembling our new wardrobes, but that involves moving the cot into the nursery first (cot never been used, dd3 hates it) and the toddler bed in the nursery will have to go into the loft.

i have made soup for lunch for us all, and dinner is leftover jacket potatoes and salad for the adults and pasta with sauce for the girls.

loads to do, so little time. dd1 has nits AGAIN. so have to comb her hair through too.

:hello: :hello: :hello: to everyone. busy busy busy

    Morning everyone:hello:
Happy Birthday Martyn, Master Tru, and Master Kyle (Monday) :bdaycake:

I've been out early to Tesco's to get another couple of large Geraniums (£2.49), to go with the plants I got at B&Q yesterday, so planned on potting up the baskets, but it's just started spitting:rolleyes: . Also got some Water Retaining Gel from Aldi's I thought I'd try - BUT then I spotted the brioche on offer for £1 :D (couldn't resist :wall:)

DS1 went off early this morning to Barcelona for the weekend, and DH has gone off to a Police Seminar. He always wanted to join the police years ago, so just going to see if it still appeals.

I applied for a Secretary Job online the other day....only to find it's in Saudi Arabia!! The company telephoned me aswell!! Well it is an Oil Company, but I thought it was a job in a London based office. I would be seriously interested, but I think they want single people and not married with a family in tow!:rotfl: nevermind, it was nice while it lasted! I did ask them to keep my details on file though;) :D

Time to put the hoover round, and make a couple of bread puddings (using up some bread) - and ironing later on. Looking foward to Doctor Who later!!
Darn it...forgot to tape the Frankie Howerd Documentary last nite! I'm sure it will be on again.

Catowen - did you get your fence done? any sign of the tractor yet?
PP - sorry to hear about OH gran, but glad you had a good time away.
Redruby - glad you had a good time too.
Ivyleaf - which Ikea did you go to? If it was Lakeside we could have met!
    (((Smokey)))

Have a great weekend all xx

Good morning all, and welcome to the newbies.

Hope everyone is ok - I've a terrible memory so even though i've only just read the thread, i can't remember. hugs to anyone who wants or needs them, especially (((smokey))).

Not like me to get on here in a morning! DH has gone down to the allotments to finish off his new bantam house - soon as that is done he can start getting some plants set off in the greenhouse. Its full of wood at the moment...

Not much planned for today. Going to get the kitchen table cleared off so we can start using it at mealtimes. Its been a dumping ground for too long again.
Saw someone mentioned meatballs - might get some mince defrosted and copy them. Also fancy making up a batch of bolognaise for the freezer, if we have enough.
Baking may or may not happen. Need to look for a recipe for egg custard, as we have some duck eggs to use up. Anyone got a nice one?

Can't decide whether I'm in a baking mood, so will see what happens.

Discovered I'm going to be flying over to Derry, (Northern Ireland) with work at the start of May. We're going on Ryanair and coming back with Jet2. I'm not exactly slim, so not sure whether I'll be comfy on the plane. Its only for an hour though, so shoudl cope. We're staying overnight, then I'm giving a full days training session, and we're flying back in the evening. Could be a bit busy... Can't wait to see the offices though and meet the people.

:bdaycake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARTYN, MASTER TRU  :bdaycake:

    Hello all !
Been bright and sunny until now.............clouding over and they've forecast rain.
Been trying to have a de-clutter of a lot of box files and shoe boxes on a shelf in my computer room..............I'd almost forgotten what was in most of them except the one with Dads diaries in. Thought I'd transfer them to another box and put them upstairs with his other stuff............couldn't resist reading through a couple though..........big mistake. I found it a bit upsetting and can't get my head round the rest of the stuff now.............very small bag of stuff for throw out or charity shop............pile of 'not sure what to do with' stuff and a couple of empty boxes now. General idea was to put 'stuff' I seldom need or want to look at in the bottom cupboard (so awkward to get at) and put the photo albums that are there on the shelf where I can get to them a lot easier...................not winning the battle so far so giving it a rest till this afternoon.

Have a good day all, especially those with birthdays :j
And hugs (((((((((((:o )))))))))))))) to all those who need them.
    Mary

Birthday wishes to Martyn and Master Tru!
*hugs* to PenPin and her OH and family - sorry to hear about your OH's gran.

Was up early today (for a saturday!) so have been out round the shops I needed to go to. Need to finish wrapping the birthday present for nephew3 and I'm looking forward to cake with sprinkles :D (and to seeing twink and kyle and family, of course!) :rotfl:

Got lots of new wool so will be busy crocheting this evening while watching tv - a good tv night for a change :) Also bringing my wedding dress up to twinks for storage for the next couple of months (to stop me trying it on every week to see if I've lost any more weight) :p

Better go pack everything up, so take care everyone and have as good a day as you can.

*hugs* to all, take or leave as you please...

Twink, Kyle, and Squishy - just how many members of your family are there on here??

I know Haribo and Pink Winged are related - do we have any more family groups on here?

Metherer - who doesn't think any of her family come on here, but may be wrong!
