I complained to Amazon that they had honoured my "friend's" order and not mine even though I have spent over £400 with them over last six months. Got standard email back - so sent another email - got £3 voucher!!!!! Bowled over with their generosity!!! Got the Star Wars set though - thank you!0

I placed my order on 25th - one of each of die hard, indy, monty and charlie- the only one I really wanted was Monty (by the time I placed my order monty was 'out of stock') so my estimated delivery was september 17 - 20 - so I figured 'doh, they'll notice in that time' but thought I'll leave it besides I was going on holiday (and didn't get back until yesturday).
Anyway, when I checked my email on return I discovered to my confusion 2 emails sent on the same day - one stating that my order had been cancelled - not saying which titles had been cancelled.
The next one stated that Indy and Monty had been shipped - I was most impressed I figured that they were just being kind having noticed that the orders were mispriced they sent on half of my order - the other thing that impressed me was that amazon still gave free delivery even though my total order came to less than £10. I was convused though as the one dvd they claimed to have shipped was the one that was out of stock. I guess they only had them in stock because they had cancelled so many other orders?
(Incidentally Asda were recently selling Monty for £20 - I almost bought it then - just thought I'd mention this if anyone actually wanted Monty rather than wanting a bargain)
Anyway, I'm now home, I've checked and my credit card has been charged, my amazon account shows dispatched on the 26th, but no dvds, I note that someone else stated that Parcel force delivered their goods, could someone confirm that it was parcelforce - I don't have a card from them but they are hardly reliable - the last thing I want is to find that Amazon did send me the goods and that Parcelforce returned them because they couldn't get an answer at my address.
Do amazon use parcelforce?
I'll keep you posted of any further response. I do have a card from a delivery company who have said they will delivery tomorrow - but not parcelforce (I am expecting other goods too).

Its wierd because i remember watching that royal mail advert about 5 months back, it would zoom in the Royal Mail van and you would see some amazon packages.0

Well my parcel has arrived - and it was brought by someone from ParcelNet - I've never heard of them before and it seemed like a small business from what I could tell.
I had 3 cards from the company when I got home from holiday (and assumed it was for something else) anyway the telephone number was a mobile number and sure enough I got straight through to the delivery woman.
She arranged to deliver the goods on Monday - but didn't turn up, so we phoned in the afternoon and she appologized and said she had totally forgotton, that she had a hairdresser appointment but would drop the parcel off early that evening on her way shopping - all seemed very bizarre.
She hadn't turned up by early evening and we needed to go out so we phoned again and she said she was in Asda and would drop the parcel later (we arranged just to leave it outside the back door) anyway when we got back still no parcel, but a bit later there was a knock at the door and there was the parcel - it was really bizzare, but hey I got my dvds so I don't care.
Bargain there - Now I just need to check that I did thank the OP! I think I did at the time. There is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0 -
