    From Amazon t&c:

"If a product's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatch or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation."

I didn't find this bargain on here - by coincidence I was shopping on amazon anyway and i saw the Monty Python box set on the bestsellers list, so I added 1 to my order of 2 books and 1 other dvd (all at 'normal' prices). I did think 'wow, that's cheap' but didn't immediately think it was a misprice as my order from last week had a £3.97 dvd in it (not a box set) and the Monty Python had a '90% off' graphic next to the picture, amazon often have as much as 70% off next to their dvd's, so I thought maybe they were clearing stock.

After placing the order I came on here to see if the Monty Python box set had been mentioned or to post it if it hadn't (it had). I never got the usual order confirmation from amazon, which I thought was a bit odd, but my order was listed in my order hsitory. Checked again today and it's dissappeared (all of it) - without the Python box set the other stuff comes to just over £19 (so qualifies for free delivery). So why no contact from amazon at all - just cancelled my whole order without telling me when they could have just deleted the Python box set and sent me the rest? Have spent hundreds of pounds on amazon and am not happy with such poor customer service. :(

I appreciate that mistakes and misprices occur and would have been fine with them if they had let me know, but to just cancel an entire order with no communication from them at all is not the standard of service I have come to expect from them and contradicts their own terms and conditions as quoted above!

I put in two different orders when the prices oddity occured. The first was x3 Chalie Chaplin box sets, i paid postage for these and the total was below £20. The second was 5 monty python box sets that i opted for free super saver delivery on.
I got the same email as everyone else saying they had cancelled my order.. etc... And surely enough when logging into my amazon account there was NO history or my order whatsoever.

Thus i was supprised when a box containing x3 Charlie Chaplin box sets turned up at my house this morning (£19.xx somthing incl. delivery_) :money:
After just logging into my amazon account this order has magically re-apeared.
(( total price if ordered currently is about £360  ))

I did get a confirmation email about my order, but when I looked at "Your Account" on the website, no trace of the order at all?! Still not there today, but have just received delivery of the "Karate Kid" DVDs. Wonder if the rest of the order will arrive (some misprices, some not)?? Guess it's a case of wait and see, and start shouting next week if it doesn't appear (I used Gift Certificate in part payment, don't want to lose that!) All very mysterious!

well I received the cancellation email yesterday, BUT
just had a knock on the door and it was parcel force!

I have got Indiana Jones and the Monty Python Boxsets.

and there is an invoice/receipt which clearly shows the incorrect prices so that is what I have been charged.

hope everyone else has the same result

Exactly the same happened here cancellation e-mail yesterday, delivered today and when I logged on to the computer they have now sent me a dispatch notice!

I only ordered one Indiana Jones Boxset and paid for first class delivery. My son is well chuffed and has the box open and watching them already.

I haven't had nothing yet, even though I had dispatch emails

    boohooboohooboohoo etc etc etc

    :(
  • I just ordered two Monty Pythons (cos I'm strange like that ;)), got a despatch email with a tracking number. Then a cancellation email. Online it shows in my account as despatched. Tracking the parcel number seems to have it stuck in Glasgow. Is it despatched or is it cancelled? Confused? I am more confused than a very confused thing :confused::confused:

yes if it is dispatched then you should get the product fine.

I wouldnt trust amazons "your account" tbh because both my orders dissapeared (untill 1 turned up in the post this morning). But if you have a tracking number im sure it will get to u eventually. perhaps you will have to wait till tuesday now though with the bank holiday this monday.

Has anyone who used a gift certificate and subsequently had their order cancel actually had the certificate credited back to their account? Mine is still not back, and Amazon haven't yet replied to my e-mails.

Nope, they are not replying to me either. I was told it would be the other day they would credit it back but they haven't.
