I agree, but that was a heck of a lot of "misprices" for a large company0 -
"Dear Customer
Greetings from Amazon.co.uk. We are writing to inform you that the price of
a recently ordered DVD title was incorrect at the time of placing your
order, and we hope that we can clear up any misunderstanding.
Despite our best efforts, with the millions of items available on our
website, pricing errors can occasionally occur. In our Pricing and
Availability
Policy, we state that where an item's correct price is higher than our
stated price, we contact the customer before dispatching. Please know that
we will be cancelling all affected orders. If you still wish to purchase
this item, please place a new order online which will be charged at the
correct price.
Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused by this error, and
rest assured that we will continue to make every effort to maintain the
accuracy of all prices on our site. We hope you will find this an
acceptable solution and look forward to serving you again in the future.
Sincerely,
Customer Service Department

an interesting twist.
I ordered 2 batches, one of the available items - monty and indy, and one of the not yet availbable ones - angel and die hard.
i got an email confiming despatch of the first lot this morning. the other ordered got cancelled with no word.
i kept quiet, as i'm happy to get the others. now i've just got an email saying there were mis-prices etc...and they've cancelled my order. but that email corresponds with the first order number, which apparently already dispatched...
which according to their T and Cs is when the contract is made...
so many possiblities... will i get my items? will i get charged for the second, but not the first order becuase they got confused? will i get charged at all? who knows?
my account still says the items were dispatched. I'll just ahve to wait and see what turns up
I'm in exactly the same situation.
Hoping that the stuff was actually dispatched and its too late to do anything about it now.... like you say, will have to wait and see.0 -

Good for you mate! What time did you order though? I think 'Amazon Assault' is about to begin!0 -
i ordered at 16:06 yesterday and chose priority shipping. apparently some people are now getting emails that their order has shipped and that amazon now want full price for it or the products returned. i'm not going to give in easily though, happen to be a rather poor student so they're going to have a battle0

Surely if they've taken your money and actually sent you the goods, they don't have a leg to stand on? You paid in good faith and it's up to them to spot any errors before they despatch goods. They can't take any extra money from your credit/debit card without your permission, so there's nothing they can do, is there?0 -
I got my order today.. and I expect loads more in the morning to
nice one amazon!! you rock hehe..

I don't mind that they've cancelled my order, but I do wish they'd hurry up and put the full value of my gift vouchers back into my account as I fancy some books on there.0
