Hi, looking at phoneboxdirect about to order and i was looking and they look very similar to coolnewmobile, can anyone confirm if they have links, because iv had to cancel my order with coolnewmobile becasue they dont have my phone in stock noo more but Phoneboxdirect have a back order on it, anyone know how long a back order is? any experiance with Phoneboxdirect? Phoneboxdirect linked to coolnewmobile?



Also if anyone could help me find a cheap phone on the 3 network with nokia 6280, n73 or n80 would be helpfull

Hi Terry,

Yes, PhoneBoxDirect, CoolNewMobile & 3MobileFones are all part of the same company. If one of them says that it is out of stock then I wouldn't hold out much hope for any of the others having stock as they must surely all rely on the same pool of handsets.

It's exactly the same with Caphone Warehouse, E2Save and One Stop Phone Shop (all part of the CPW empire) - if one is out of stock, then they all are, no matter what the other websites say.

I know the Carphonewarehouse group are usually pretty good at despatching next day, but my 2 experiences of Phonebox Direct are that they tend to take a few days.

But they more than make up for it with their overall customer service (eg re: cashback etc)

Usually cancel the insurance after the free period - I've found it's not worth the money.

Hi all, have an o2 contract that expires in a few weeks and while surfing around phoneboxdirect has caught my eye, their '12 month free on a 12 month contract' seems too good to be true!

So what is the catch, i assume that you still pay for the contract with the provider then PBD send you a cashback in the post if you fill in the correct forms etc.

So does it work? Can you get 12 months free phone usage.

Your comments would be appreciated.

I've had two prompt cheques from them so far on a 12 month contract with another three claims to go, you have to go through the hoops but I understand they've been around for a while, for whatever that's worth

I'm thinking of buying another two contracts from them. Don't forget to use Quidco.
