    Mobilejunkie,

Got to say i would take the voda reduction to £5pm like a shot irrespective of what may happen in the future.

Also consider that the longer you delay in trying to get a reduction the longer you will be stuck at a higher tariff

    I wouldn't cancel court procedings.....

If this news has coincided with you today sending off a claim to MCOL, then you should definitely contact them first thing tomorrow and cancel the action.

If you do this they will reimburse your court fee.

But you do need to contact the court by phone (0845 6015935) first thing tomorrow - before 10.00 am at the latest.

After that time your claim will have been issued, and you cannot then recover the court fee.

when you call and explain they are saying the company hasnt liquidated
  • They have definatly liquidated.

See the homepage of www.mobiletoday.co.uk for the full story.

The networks will not let you cancel your contract as the cashback agreement was through the dealer (PBD or CNM) not Voda, O2 etc etc.

IMO The networks need to take ownership of these cashback scams.

Too many innocent money savers have been stung sharply at the expoitation of cleverly worded terms and conditions that basically say they can get out of anything.

surely the networks would have been informed

not necessarily, you see PBD and CNM would'nt purchase their airtime directly from the networks, but from a third party such as Hugh Symons or Dextra. They will certainly be aware of this.

Its just an awful situation that offers no recourse for many many people. and until the networks wise up sharpish (how many times has this got to happen) It will go on!

Its hard to say. However, there might just be a little good news, maybe!!!!!

Just found this on the internet, it appears that some people who this happened to by another unscrupulous dealer managed to get some compensation!

I really hope this link helps someone.

    Good luck
