Gone under, naah... Look at their website now, they are now promising what is latest buzz word in cashback "UPFRONT CASHBACK" .

The fact of the matter is, the promoters know their way out in this rolling game of making cashback (oops sorry upfront cashback) scams work.

Unfortunately....Royalmail still allows you to send recorded deliveries to PO Box address.

Trying to contact these cowboys is a joke !

Tried calling 01270412345 and was told to call an 0190...... number. Any ideas?

I was promised my 4th cashback check on 2 Oct within 10 days and am YET to receive despite several emails and attempted phone calls !

Have these lot gone under ? Can anyone offer any help?

davidjones90, we could end up getting court dates around the same time. I've just printed off the t&c's for when we got my girlfriends contract in April using the wayback machine (thanks to mobilejunkie and others), even better - states 28 days full stop to process, print 'em off and add 'em to your pile for your (unlikely) court date!

Thanks to everyone for all the helpful info on here and good luck to everyone LBA'ing at the moment.

Yup could well do. Notice the typo on the terms? 28 days of "recipt" .... bah amateurs.

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.
  • <My connection date was 27th June. My most recent bill is dated 25th Oct. Do I send that one or the next one? Please only answer if you know for sure. Its rather important!>

<3+31+31+30 = 95. Plus 25 = 25th October - and that's both ignoring their advice to others that they allow a three days early claim (I wouldn't rely on THAT!) and excluding the day of connection.>

So, I send the 25th Oct bill?!
  • Er... Yes. If you can't work that out I'd definitely advise you stay away from these deals nowadays!

Mind if I ask what your 'source' is? Companies House say all is okay & I work for an affiliate of theirs and haven't heard anything of the sort.
Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...
  • Eh?

It is not my source, I just come accross the post.

In any case companies house will be the last to know and could take weeks to update.
  • I hate to be the bearer of bad news, today being my first day as a mse member and this being my first post but......

Mobile media group which is phone box direct and cool new mobile have gone into liquidation!

See www.mobiletoday.co.uk their is a newsflash about it on the homepage.

I am sorry i do not know what to advise anyone affected by this

But I hope that this early warning may help in some way.

Please pass this on to as many people as possible. There is strength in numbers.

Act the way you'd like to be and soon you'll be the way you act.

  • Can someone, calmly, explain what options might be available to those of us that signed up to a cashback deal now that it appears that Mobile Media / Cool New Mobile / Phonebox Direct went into Administration yesterday (14.11.07).
Obviously, companies such as Vodafone, moneysupermarket.com and quidco.com will say "Nothing to do with me, Guv" and perhaps they did deal with them with the best of intentions. However, would someone provide an easy-to-understand step-by-step approach as to what to do to try and reclaim money as I imagine, at the very least, a company is unlikely to offer cashback deals unless they have some agreement with the network.
Is the correct forum to try and do this or would an email sent directly to Mr. Lewis asking for advice be more appropriate?
