You must ring them, was it required when you took the contract out?
I got that letter also, when I took the contract out it was not required so I binned it. I contacted pbd when I received the refusal letter and they told me the letter was sent out in error. I requested an email conformation to say my claim was ok, they said they had already sent one but they will send it again and that I needed to add them to my contact list so it is received and not put into junk. I went to add them as a contact and surprise surprise it was already there, I rang the next day and was told to email them and they will email me back, to my surprise they did that very day and said my claim was ok and I should receive cheque in November. If I had of left down to them I would of lost the whole claim as I was due to send my next bill off (the way the dates fell I had to send 2 clams in 2 months), if I hadn't and come November I would of received the first cheque I then would of been screwed as I hadn't sent the next claim off.

Hello,
I am in the same situation..they have rejcted my claim on the same basis as i wrote the same despatch note ref number. I spoke to them but as expected they did not agreed with me,I have resubmitted the claims with correct details.and requested them to reconsider. Also they have replied to my e mail with the same stand. My point was why they mislead me by sending me e mails that your paper work has been checked and everything is in order and we have passed your claim to our cheque issuing office.Ok i accept it was a silly mistake by me but I am sure small claims court will have some thing to say about these misleading e mails. Do you have any other points as i intend to pursue this even if i have to take this to small claims court. will appreciate your comments and suggestions and will keep you informed..regards

Hi
When you say you've resubmitted your claims, did you have to get another invoice from your operator?
With regard to my reasons for pursuing this, my view is they have misled me by providing two reference numbers (the latter / incorrect one was the only reference received via normal post and was sent a month after initial email order confirmation, hence the latter was the latest "reference" number I had). I had included the despatch note where the latter number came from with my cashback claim form (even though I didn't have to include this letter). From this, and my completed cashback claim form, they (PBD) knew from the outset that the claim was in refeence to my order reference PBDXXXX. There was no question of them not being able to identify me as a customer or an undue burden on their admin staff to figure out who the claim was from. Indeed, after a week of them receiving my claim their Claims Dept sent out an email with my correct PBD order ref number stating they had received my claim... It would appear to me that there are at least 3 of us on this thread who have all been mis-directed to quote the wrong reference number. If you take a look at their most recent cashback claim forms they spell out that the order reference number statrs with PBD (I can only see this clarification being made as people have been confused in the past).
If it is OK with you I would like to keep in touch with you via PM to see how this progresses. I have written to thei cashback address for them to reconsider. I will write to their complaints dept (address on their website, I think) before commencing a small claims action if required. Should a small claims court action be required, can I count on your (or anyone else here folks) suppport to be a witness to the possibility for real confusion created to consumer with reagrs to this claims process?
Many thanks in advance. Keep us informed of any progress on this!!!0 -
Hello Termin8tor
sorry for the delay..Same day when i recievd rejection letter i posted all the paper work with correct customer order ref number starting with PBH (All photocopies)with a covering letter requesting them to reconsider my claim. They came back with the same reply via e mail that i quoted wrong customer order number. After this i wrote them an e mail quoting their e mails which mislead everybody that everything is fine. Now latest is they have replied back and have promised to reconsider my claim and have aknowledged receiving my claims also.
I don't mind staying in touch with and you can PM me anytime.I will be glad to help or assist in any way i can..I will keep you in picture about my claim..regards0 -

I am now in the same situation it appears. I just got my letter stating that I had quoted the wrong number. I will call them tomorrow to see what I can do but now worried that I'm not going to get anywhere. Could you let me know how you get on?0 -
 PBD really do take the biscuit!! I thought I would be well shot of them by now since I received an email on the 10 sept saying my cheque would be posted in the next 10 days. Is been well over 10 days now but I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt since there has been a postal strike. So today I ring them and what a surprise, the cheque hasnt even been sent yet! I got told it was because of the strike, when I reminded them that the strike was only last week and my cheque should have been posted ages ago, she started bleating about 'printer problems' yeah right, more like 'dont want to have to pay out problems'
Has anyone had a cheque recently? I had a look back through the last few pages but all I can see are more rejected claims
