    Just ordered a U600 free for 12 months! :D

Anything I should know of or be doing when the phone arrives?! I don't really want to be stung! :)

I ticked the box NOT to get free insurance so I assume I won't need to cancel any insurance policies etc.

hi. i was connected to vodafone on the 11th of mrach and my first bill will be 9th of august. i would just like to know if this is correct.

also please could you let me know the amount that i am supposed to claim. the total amount to clain is £420 so will i be claiming back £140 for 4 months? or the total amount of line rental i have been charged upto that date? this confuses me as i was charged £58 line rental in my first bill. thanks

You need to stop and re read all the help sites you can find on this as you are going to mess up big style and lose your claim. Its very simple to under stand. you need to divide your cash back value by the number of claims you need to do. I would expect in your case its 5 cash back values of 96 pounds.

Why is your first bill going to be august, you should get a monthly bill!

You should just cancel with the network provider, and make sure that you don't do it too early and miss out on that all important 12 month bill for the cashback

Did you get your U600? I ordered one as well but after waiting more than 2 weeks I gave up and cancelled. Even though throughout this period, their website said they were in stock. I phoned 3 times and each time was told that it would be in tomorrow.

Like the song goes, tomorrow never came!!!

I sent my 4 month bill in about 20th April to phonebox direct and I have yet to see any cash, although 7 days ago, I received an email saying the cheque should be with me in 10 working days, so I am waiting with bated breath.

I received my 6 month bill yesterday and have sent it off today, more in hope than expectation, but you live and learn - I thought it looked too good to be true when I signed up

  • THEY HAVE A SCAM really going on, I have been with them for 4 contracts perfect cashbacks, now even if you send it recorded delivery and you go through the process of stating the number of recorded delivery when they claim they have not got the claim, they say there was nothing in side, why would i have sent a blank envelope? There is no way of getting out of it. I know nearly for sure that if you dont send it recorded delivery then they claim they have not got it, this has happened to 5 of my friends- this is now a gamble/scam, better to pay a bit more and go with CPW/dialaphone

I had brought a Nokia 6280 phone on 3 network about a year ago on 12 months cash back. I received a faulty handset and asked for and exchange, which was done (I dont remember if it was by them or three network). Even the replaced hand set has problems with charging and gets discharged easily.

The next part is cashback problems. I sent my first claim and upon chasing quikliy, I was told that I sent 1 month early and asked me to send the following month for which they deducted £10 as faulty claim.

Then again, I sent my second cash back after 2 months (I sent both the months bill) but this time they told me that I sent only one month bill and it was not the right one. After telling them I have definetly sent both the bills and hence dont have any originals they told that they would accept photo copy. After the hassel, I received 2 cash back with another £10 deductions.

My 3rd cash back was sent at appropriate time, but didnt chase up early which I did with my first 2 claims. When I sent my 4th cashback, i asked what happend to my 3rd cash back. Initially they asked all the details, my day of posting the bill and method of posting. When I told them that I was not sure, If I sent by recorded delivery but remembered the date as I had made a copy of cashback claim form and entered the date on it. There was a immediate reply that they have not received any claim form and all my further claims would void. To my surprise I also received the letter in next 2 days saying my cashback was now void but nothing till then.

I am very sure of sending my bills but dont have postal proof. Is there any way, I can go ahead with this to get any of my cashback.

How are you getting on with this? I have looked through the T&Cs and the only ref to cashback being voided is:
"Where a valid claim has not been received by us within one calendar month of the required bill, which is the closing date for your claim. You will not be entitled to any part of the Cash Back offered. Cash back files are closed and cannot be reopened in these cases."
I'm not sure that a court would consider this sufficiently clear as saying that all future claims will be voided, do you have any different wording in your original T&Cs when you purchased the phone?
