I threw my despatch note away cos, like tinkerpooh I've done loads with phoneboxdirect before and never needed it. Do I have any chance??

    Hi,

Has anyone confirmed with phoneboxdirect that you need to send in the dispatch note even if your contract started before the new terms and conditions?

I am just about to send of my 5th claim and I dont know what to do.. shall I stick to the old form and risk my claim being disallowed for not following the current terms or send in the new form and risk my claim being disallowed for not following the terms in place when I took out the contract?

Grrrrr, I am so happy to be finishing up with PBD!

New t&c say you need to send it with your FIRST claim so I don't really see how you'd have a problem on your fifth. Otherwise my last message applies.

Right Mustbemad, Thx again for your kind help........ and also to you mobile junkie..... but if you are interested here is a real puzzler for you.

I have sucessfully claimed the first 4 claims from a phoneboxdirect phone which i purchased last APRIL 06, connection date 9th April. When it came to the 5th claim I posted it in as normal and within the specified times.

Now while in the last month of my 12 month contract i aggreed with "3" that I would change my priceplan from a £35 per month to a £20 a month. This change kicked in on the 9th of April 07, exactly 1 year after connection date. As i had paid the full amount that the contract was worth (£367.50) 3*17.50 and 9*£35 I sent the correct bill, feeling sure that there would be no problem.

But Phoneboxdirect have sent me a letter stating that I am not allowed change my contract before the end of my contract and have refused to pay my final claim. Now it is obvious that I have in fact paid for a 12month contract and whatever I want to do after that is my business.

What do people out there think do I have a case?
How can I go about challanging this if they refuse to pay after a letter from me. I have all the evidience, so that wont be a problem.
Does anybody else have the same thing happen to them?

Does anybody think Phoneboxdirect are correct and Im wasting my time?
    Looking forward to your thoughts.
    TP

I argued my case and they paid up. The cheque took 2 days to arrive. Keep going at them. It is in their best interest to make it as hard as possible for people to claim as this is how they make their dosh.
  • Hi there,

I need some advice. I sent my 3rd cashback to Phonebox on April 19 and was told about 10 days ago (after I had aclled them many times) that it had been processed and was ready to go out. I still haven't received anything!

By now they also have my 4th cashack (sent 21 June) for which they confirm receipt but cant tell me any more since it isn't due for processing for a while.

I just sent them an email saying taht my T&C state that it shouldnt take more than 28 days and that I expect a reponsse within the next 7 days or I would take things further (not entirely sure what I mean by that but I have been reading a lot on this thread).

    Any advice highly appreciated.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

Pls help me out cancelling my contract!!
Contract start date: 31st august 2006
Contract end date: 30th august 2007
    Pac code requested: 21/7/07
    Pac code expires: 20/8/07

Now I want to transfer my number to PAYG and cancel the contract on month 12 so I receive my final claim. When should I give the pac code to the new PAYG provider to sort it out?

Very confused with the indian call centres and how this PAC works!!

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

If you use your PAC you will terminate your contract early.

Your network will still bill you up to the end of your minimum contract.

If this is not a problem (ie you aren't in a cashback deal which says doing this will breach the cashback conditions, and you don't mind "wasting" around 10 days of your contract), then use it around 9/8/07.

Otherwise let this PAC lapse, and get another one at the end of your contract then use it immediately.

I received my cheque for claim 1 last week, then the next day received a letter saying claim 2 was invalid as part of the bill was missing (front sheet).
I e-mailed back to say they must be mistaken as I had a complete copy and it head been sent recorded (didn't trust them not to lose it in the post). They then informed me that it was missing but that also my tarriff had changed. I informed them that my tarriff had never changed - but how could they know this if the front sheet was missing. Their response was "Our decision will stand, as the bill we received was incomplete, and did not show all that we needed to see."
I have threatened them with Trading Standards and solicitors but they have not responded.
Any thoughts/comments? If I have to go legal now what will happen to the rest of my claims - 4?

Oh no, looks like PBD have decided to follow suit with their friends at CNM

If you read the coolnewmobile thread (sister company with PBD) you will see that this 'page not recieved' scam has been happening a lot recently!!

If I were you I would write to PBD giving them 7/14 days to 'find' the missing sheet or you will be taking them to the small claims court. I have just sent off my final claim to PBD so I am fully expecting to have to go down the same road as you, judging by the amount of people they have tried this trick with!

Can you imagine the looks on the small claims court faces when they suddenly have PBD/CNM at every hearing with the same claim that a page of the claim was missing :rotfl:

Make sure you keep all of your paperwork safe as you will need it as your evidence. Oh, and make sure you claim for the balance of your cashback due and the small claim court fee too!

This company is part of the Mobile Affiliates group. I am going to sue them if they do not pay up (see coolnewmobile thread) Anyone wanting a witness and prepared to be mine read my threads and PM me.
