  • I am in the same situation- my first cash back claim is due went to post it off today and thought i should recheck the terms and conditions to make sure it is alright. And realised it has changed to needing the dispatch notice which i dont have. I need to send my claim of ASAP as the 120 days were up today but if i send according to the terms when i took the contract out - will they not give me any of my cash backs? Please help?

If you talk to Consumer Direct, they will tell you that PBD cannot do this (legally). I would advise advise you to send the claim without the dispatch notice by Special Delivery with Consequential Loss Insurance, get a witness who can say you put all what was needed in the envelope. presumably they will write to you and say you have not complied with the terms, so then you sue them for the full whack. I think you stand a better chance of getting your money than me, I have to wait until November before I submit my first claim.

Before you go rushing off and send the wrong bill in I would check what you're doing. If the 120 days is up today you can't possibly have the right bill to send yet. It must be DATED after 120 days. Don't lose sight of the wood for the trees with all this manic panic.

A4 paper with phoneboxdirect top right and a table in the middle showing your phone and sim card.

Consumer Direct and your local Trading Standards Service or Citizens Advice Bureau will help with the procedures, it's a piece of cake. If you are a student, it means your mind is geared up to learning  - so learn!

It costs about £15 I think, you can probably do it online at https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/ but the site is down now. However, first things first, wait for the refusal, then complain using their internal procedures, then sue.

My 120 days were up on sunday the 29th ( connected 30th march), my lastest bill is dated 20th july? Is this not the right bill, i though it was the bill nearest to the 120 days? Will it not be too late to claim once i get the next bill in?

Also just dug my wardrobe out found the oringinal delivery bag phone came in and theres a piece of A4 paper with a reference number on it, saying thankyou for choosing phone boxdirect and lists the items i recieved - is this the dispatch notice i recieved?

Yeah quite agree. I think what you mean though is the 1 month from the 120 day bill, as per the previous T&Cs.

Victoria, go and work your dates out at http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html. put your bill date in and add 31. Or, more simply, if your 120 day bill is dated after about 3 July, you are just about OK if you use Special Delivery tomorrow, as I said in my previous post.

WRONG bill. Must get the basics right, never mind the rest! That IS the despatch note.

No, I didn't; she needs to get the right bill before she worries about anything else. Otherwise she'll end up £10 down before she even starts and completely confused.

Yesssss! I think i have got this :T :T I am so untidy i never get around to throwing things out, so when i got the phone the bag and box was just thrown in my wardrobe, didn't think i had it earlier but had another look and the A4 form what i have found is definately what you decribed, so thank you, at least i now have a chance at successfully claiming my cash back. Just have to make sure i am sending the right bill in now.
