Oh right, yes I see, sorry0 -
Thanks for the info guys ref the despatch note, my girlfriend was in the same boat, was starting to panic until I found this thread and reassured her!
One question slightly off the topic if anyone can help please:
When my gf filled in her order on-line it gave her a reference of
PBD18**** (6 digits)
yet when she e-mailed them about her not receiving the cashback claim form on her e-mail they used the reference: 261**** (7 digits).
From what everyone has said on here the last thing she needs to do is give them the slightest opportunity to turn down the claim so does anyone please know which would be the correct number to put down as the order reference number on the top of the claim form?
Thanks in advance....You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...0 -

The number to put on the form is the one starting PBD1*****, mine has 6 digits. Does the 7 digit number have PBD in front of it? Maybe you should get your gf to ring PBD to check? I have checked all of the emails they have sent me and they have only ever used the PBD number.

I would not take much reassurance from reading this thread!
I am sure they would love you to use the 261 reference. However it all goes back to reading the terms. It does say clearly in there which number to use. This is the number that will self destruct after 10 days. They don't have the staff to tell you after that... "Unfortunately we do not have the resource to answer queries outside this timeframe."
I think that is because they have all been transferred to the complaints team:
"We work hard to provide a high standard of service to our customers but some will be dissatisfied. We have a dedicated team to deal with any complaint that may be made."
Isn't that strange, they work so hard at high standards, yet they need a whole team of people handling complaints. Yeah, a team, just for complaints, not cashback processing.

I do not understand the significance of this, but the two main directors and sole shareholders of Mobile Media Systems Ltd (company number 04440806) sold all their shares to a new company, Mobile Media Systems & Mobile Affiliates Limited (company number 05994003) in May 2007. Both companies now have the same registered address. Both companies have the same directors, with the small difference that a different director acts as company secretary in the new company.
The home addresses of the main directors are different in the new company. This seems to fall in with house sale records, the Cropwell Road address listed in Mobile Media Systems Ltd was sold on 5th January 2007 for £495,000. I can't find any sale records for the new house, however it appears the directors were on the electoral register at the NEW address since 2001!0 -
mouseclick wrote: »No mobilejunkie, has to be Special Delivery, preferably with Consequential Loss Insurance for £1.35 extra (you have to ask over the counter for it). The rest I agree with, but Recorded Delivery is not accounted for en route, and it is quite common for them to get delivered without a signature. The T&Cs require "proof" of their signature, so without that you may as well just burn the money.
I just had my Recorded Delivery envelope (containing cashback claim) returned from PhoneBox Direct marked 'GONE AWAY'
Anybody else had this?0 -

That sounds bad. Phone Consumer Direct asap on 08454 040506. The only physical address I know for this company is what Companies House have on record, their registered office - 22 The Ropewalk, Nottingham, NG1 5DT. But that is the address of several accountancy firms. I am still waiting on a query to Royal mail about the PO box you have written to, see my earlier post.0 -
Yep, it certainly does.
I re-sent the letter with a further covering letter to Mobile Media Systems Ltd - PO Box 8896, Bingham, Nottingham, NG13 8XT - also Recorded Delivery - which is the main address shown on their letters - different from the Cashback Address shown on their Claim Forms.
I guess it might take a while to filter through because of the Postal strikes but I am hoping it will get a response from that address, although I am not holding my breath. I may be drawing my state pension before I get all my cashback from Phone Box Direct !!
Just read back through the whole of the thread - we certainly earn our cashback (when we get it) dont we?0 -

Actually, my cashback address is the PO Box 8896 one. The form they emailed me in June is at https://secure.phoneboxdirect.com/201cashbackclaim.pdf, take a look. I printed off several copies and saved it to my hard drive in case one day it "accidentally" got deleted.
What is the address of your claim form and when did you buy the phone? I am beginning to think you are the victim of a "lets move the goalposts" trick.
Footnote:
Oops! they have changed the goalposts. I just looked again. My form which I downloaded at the time from the above address says the time limit is 1 calendar month. This form says 21 days, even though it has the same reference at the top, zxzz31473692314x13. If anyone wants a copy of the previous form, PM me with your email address and I will send it.0
