This used to be available to print off their website but they have took it off.( with the hope that people get it wrong so they dont pay) I still had my print off from my last contract last year and I am currently on my second contract with them. The link is took off the print off.

All I can recommend is to send your paperwork by recorded delivery.

for claims upto £200

for claims between 201 and 600

I hope this helps.

    Thanks for the link.

Still a bit confused as i connected on the 21st march and my first bill date is 17th of april as i ported my number over, do i go from the 21st march or 17th april.

120 days from march 21st is july 19th which is past the bill date of the 17th making it bill 4 and 120 days from 17th april is August 15th which is before the bill date of the 17th making it bill 5.  :embarasse

  • Hi,

You need to count 120 days from connection date and then send them whichever bill you get after this date:

    Connection date: 21/03/07
    Billing date: 17/04/07

So if 120 days after 21/03/07 is 21/07/07 you need to send the bill you get after this - bill dated 17/08/07 even though this is bill 5 for you. They need a bill showing that you have been connected for at least 120 days. You are best to ignore the months they tell you to send and just go off counting the number of days.

    hope this helps you!

Actually that's not QUITE accurate; it would be 19th July. It obviously depends on the number of days in a month - you COULD get caught out on the later claims and send in a bill one month late if you don;t work it all out!

So it should be 19th july that i send even if 120 days is after the bill date?

    NO!!

I really DO wish people would make sure they understand the t&c before they buy!!

It is VERY clear really. Day of connect. Add 119 days and you've been connected for 120. The first bill DATED AFTER THAT is the one to send. BUT by the time you get into the end of the contract you will LOSE 5 days and so IF the billing date is THAT close to the number of days you will actually switch from every two months at some point to the NEXT month for ONE of the claims only. Make a chart. Work out ALL the dates. Then MARK the KEY date which IS 120/180/240/300/360 AFTER the co9nnection date. The NEXT bill after EACH of THOSE date is the one to send!

I find the work sheet in the link very simple and have followed it without any problems

It is VERY clear really....etc etc
That's very condescending and not at all helpful. The these companies deliberately make their t&cs as unclear as they can get away with - they rely on high %s of unsuccessful claims in order to offer such good deals.

Anyway the reason I'm here, and was about to start a new post until I used the search function, is a very similar query to above. I was connected on 21 March, my bill date is 17th. the coolnewmobile t&cs are:
Instalment 1: - Send us the claim form and original monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected on, that arrives showing you have been connected for 4 months. i.e. if you were connected on the 1st of January, you need to send in the bill that is dated around the 1st of May. This is 120 days (4 months) after connection.
Instalment 2: - Send us the claim form and original monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected on, dated 180 days (6 months) after connection.
So depending on whether they want 120 days or 4 months I am to send in either the 17 July bill or the 17 August bill. I have been claiming for several cashback deals for several years for various members of my family, so far all successful, but now find this one has an awkward billing date that may lead to a failed claim. I have emailed them but these companies tend to be very slow in answering cashback queries and then just send a copy of the t&cs!

Can anyone out there give an educated answer (not an opinion thanks), perhaps someone who has had a similar billing situation or someone like Reesit Mutton who knows the industry?

    Many thanks

ps Thanks to MissG for the date counter link!

Might be helpful to other people who actually were thinking of entering into a contract without finding out the answers to THOSE questions first, don't you think? I did and it's not rocket science!

I connected 23 feb and get bills dated 22nd of each month - I have an email from pbd saying I need to send a bill dated on or after 23 june - Ie the 22 june bill which is my 120th day of being connected is not correct.
    I think....
