davidjones90 wrote: »You will receive a bill few days after you receive your mobile phone. From this bill take the BILL DATE. So say the bill date is 18th March 2007. The day is always fixed from each and every bill. So every month your bill date will be 18th of whatever(eg 18th july, 18th august etc ).
Thanks for taking the time to do that for everybody.
I got one with www.phoneboxdirect.co.uk
With orange they have a set billing day of the 16th of each month
I took out my contract on the 21st march and got billed the following
Canary 40 (12 month contract) : 21 Mar - 16 Apr 30.64
Canary 40 (12 month contract) : 17 Apr - 16 May 34.04
Free Unlimited Ev&Wk OW 2Mth : 21 Mar - 16 Apr 0.00
Free Unlimited Ev&Wk OW 2Mth : 17 Apr - 16 May 0.00
By adding 120 days on www.timeanddate.com it takes it to july 19th which 120 days is after the billing date of orange, if i calculate it from the 16th and add 120 days it takes it to 14th august (oranges 16th bill date) which would be the bill i would have to send to show 120 days as the july 19th would be too early or would it? Wouldn't 14th august (oranges 16th bill date) take it past the time limit i have to send the claim in?The best things in life are for FREE!!!If you like what you see and find this info useful, please use the thanks button. Was I supposed to have received my first bill after I get the phone?
Mine was dispatched on the 25th of April. I've received no bill so far, although Voda sent me a welcome letter stating that the first bill should be in later than usual, up to 5 weeks.
Do I count from whatever day this first bill arrives? It is a big difference between the first bill and the time I ordered.0 -

Date of connection, when you receive the bill it will have a date when you connected on it.The best things in life are for FREE!!!If you like what you see and find this info useful, please use the thanks button. It costs nothing and means so much.0 -
Miss G-thats strange. Did you use a pac code(ie kept your old number??) I don't understand why the billing date is the 16th and not 21st/22nd like you would expect it to be.
I would suggest calling them and asking for their advice tbh.

In that case, I would use date of connection and not your first bill date. The reason why i suggested using your first bill date is because for me(i am on three network) it was 1 day after my connection date.
Think of it as: Proof you have been connected for 120days.
Glad to have helped

I had brought a Nokia 6280 phone on 3 network about a year ago on 12 months cash back. I received a faulty handset and asked for and exchange, which was done (I dont remember if it was by them or three network). Even the replaced hand set has problems with charging and gets discharged easily.
The next part is cashback problems. I sent my first claim and upon chasing quikliy, I was told that I sent 1 month early and asked me to send the following month for which they deducted £10 as faulty claim.
Then again, I sent my second cash back after 2 months (I sent both the months bill) but this time they told me that I sent only one month bill and it was not the right one. After telling them I have definetly sent both the bills and hence dont have any originals they told that they would accept photo copy. After the hassel, I received 2 cash back with another £10 deductions.
My 3rd cash back was sent at appropriate time, but didnt chase up early which I did with my first 2 claims. When I sent my 4th cashback, i asked what happend to my 3rd cash back. Initially they asked all the details, my day of posting the bill and method of posting. When I told them that I was not sure, If I sent by recorded delivery but remembered the date as I had made a copy of cashback claim form and entered the date on it. There was a immediate reply that they have not received any claim form and all my further claims would void. To my surprise I also received the letter in next 2 days saying my cashback was now void but nothing till then.
I am very sure of sending my bills but dont have postal proof. Is there any way, I can go ahead with this to get any of my cashback.0 -
You will have to put this down as an expensive lesson.
They put all the hoops up for claiming cashback in the hope some customers will fail.
Not having proof you used recorded delivery falls right into their lap.0
