I see the problem with there T&C's, this you must send your 4th month bill showing you have been connected 120 days, so i connected on the 14/03/07 so i need to send the bill that is dated at the top 120 or more days is this correct, ive just recieved my first bill dated 16/04/07, i asked vodafone if all my bills will be dated the 16th and they told my no , so it looks like the date on my 4th bill will be within a few days either way of this 120 days, do i take it that if my 4th bill date is say less than 120 days from connection then i send them my 5th bill.0

Ok
Am finally in the process of buying a new monthly contact lg shine having had and been using a motorola v3 for how many years and been to lazy to cancel contract..
VODAFONE
Phonebox direct seem to be by far the best deals with £35 a month contract 500 mins anytime and 250 texts with 9 months cash back...
HOWEVER
I am really concerned after reading all of these comments that this might be a task trying to claim that cashback that will be beyond me..
Any advise would be appreciated on how you actually do put these claims in or if i should maybe avoid this company entirely for another someone mensioned carphone warehouse and them matching the offer but are they any better at the cash back?
Any advise of any companys would be fab i also noticed phone4u have 6 months cash back are they any better at teh cash back system or is it just as complicated?0 -
I have been using these guys for a couple of years now, and I am now on my 3rd contract, but this is not a promotion of their work… IT IS A WARNING!!!
The first contract I took out with them went quite well. They seemed to run a tight ship, and so long as you posted your claim form with the bill when it came through the door, they would issue a cheque for the cash claim amount within a couple of weeks.
I recommended the deals to friends and family on the basis of the deals and after sales service offered.
By the time I was on to my second contract, they were getting slower at sending out the claim cheques. As one would, I contacted Mobile Media Systems (the company behind their web name), and received nothing short of a blasé reply about how popular their deals are, ergo a 'slight' delay in service.
The situation got worse, so I contacted the director of Mobile Media Systems, Simon Slater. Please let me know if you would like to read some of his replies as I have them saved in my mailbox. To summarise his attitude, I would go so far as saying he is one of THE worst people I've ever dealt with on a professional level.
The claims cheques were taking longer and longer, and no mater how many chaser emails I sent, nothing got any better.
I'm now on my third deal (call me an idiot for staying loyal to them), but now I am being told that the claim form I have is over 12 months old, and they no longer honour claims within the 14 days stated on the form.
Currently, I have waited over 5 weeks since they last received (by recorded delivery) my claim form, and their reply only stated that I would have to wait a further 2-3 weeks.
After communicating with the director himself, I can't help but think this company are intent on squeezing every last penny out of the discounted deals they have with the big mobile phone companies in order to increase the interest they receive on unpaid claims.
Not only this, but my brother was on his second deal and forgot to send one of the claim forms recorded delivery. Uncannily, when he called to chase the claim, he was told that they had not received his claim form, and that they would not honour any future payments, leaving him hundreds of pounds out-of-pocket. My brother spoke to Mr Slater over the phone about the situation, hoping for some relief in the form of customer service, and was subjected to a torrent of abuse prior to being hung-up on.
All in all, I would rate their deals as 5 star (out of 5), but the customer service for this company on the same scale is about a MINUS 10 for sheer insolence and unprofessional attitude towards their customers.
If anyone knows of another web-based company that offers similar deals, but without the appalling customer service, will you please let me know?
Cheers!0 -
I've just had to issue a pre-legal against them and have no doubt it is going to end up in court.0

PS I was with mobileshop previously, they were a bit slow, but if you chased them they were always policte and sent the money. I would agree with the comments about the abuse from phonebox, I nearly fell off my chair when I read their latest response. Can't wait to read it out in court!!!!!0

when i sent my first bill i received the confirmation through e-mail that i would get my cheque in 28 days i think i did get it on time BUT
when i sent my second bill on 14 Feb 07 and it's 14 April 07 today and no sign of cheque yet ......
i contactd them a few times about it but i didn't get any positive response from them But
i did tell them in my last communication that if they don't payup i might contact BBC Watchdag about my problem..

What a brilliant idea, I've just been on the Watchdog site and logged it with them, if we all do we should see some action!!!!0 -
I have cancelled my contract and was currently waiting for what would be the 12th bill dated 10th April to send in to PhoneBoxDirect for my last cashback claim.
Not received a bill yet and when I checked my account on 3 website it shows no bill has been prepared so I called 3 and they advised me that since I have cancelled my contract I wont receive a bill dated 10th April I will simply receive a bill up to and including 10th May when my contract ends and this bill will cover both April and May.
I have no idea how this is going to go down with PhoneBoxDirect since it will be a month later than expected although it will still physically be the 12th Bill. What a nightmare!
Has anyone else experienced this when cancelling with 3 and trying to claim cashback from PhoneBoxDirect?0 -
just to update, finally got my cheque for cashback sent in Feb, so did my hubby.0

:j I have been with Phonebox Direct for a couple of years now, getting 2 phones each year, i have followed the T&Cs exactly and i have had every claim upto date so far. They have taken a while to get to me but ultimately I have received every cheque, the way i see it, if i was not on this deal i would be paying £35 each month anyway, but this way i receive a little extra cash throughout the year and i would recomend this company to anybody.
I have sent in every claim in by recorded delivery as they do recommend this and it allows me to see when it was signed for, i take copies of everything, i receive the emails from them when they have received my claim and i will stay with this company for as long as they are around :j :j :j0 -

Phones4u have the same offer - may be an alternative for you (9 months free, 12 months contract, but only 1 claim in month 6 if I recall) - it is either on the front page or under clearance. http://www.phones4u.co.uk/ (don't forget to go through Quidco for cashback as well).
