It will be your 5th bill. 120 Days after connection so around 17th July need to send your claim in :)

  • Ring 3 around beginning February '08 tell them you would like to terminate the contract after the agreement (12 months)

they will send you your last bill which you need to send in :)

  • just make sure with 3 network regarding your 12 month bill that when u cancel they still send u your 12 month bill cos mate at work had lots of problems what 3 do is if you cancel before they send you your 12 month bill they instead send a final bill for months 12 and 13 but thats no good if you need it for cashback so be warned, my mate had to wait about a extra 3 days and the 12 month bill had been sent and then cancel

    Hi
I'm new to MoneysavingExpert so please excuse my newbie-ness :)
I'm looking to take out a contract with Phoneboxdirect and I would like to port my number. I have read a previous post in this thread and porting seems to cause some problems with cashback claims.
Has anyone had any experience - good or bad - with cashback and porting?

    Thanks!

as long as it's not vodafone, you should be ok porting in (might be another network too, but not sure)

I think that they basically get less comission if you port the number (probably none from vodafone), hence, why they don't want you to port...

Make sure you ring to find out if the phone you want is in stock to avoid disappointment. I ordered online (march 7th) the nokia 5300 in black and the phone was on back order regardless to the fact it was showing as available. I received a different phone today after contacting them again on monday to see how long before i will receive the phone i ordered, they didn't know when it was going to be in stock. The woman suggested i be put through to see if the was any other phone i wanted that was in stock, when i was put through i was told the red one was available which i ended up accepting, i suggested different phones to him (i was looking at the pbd website) every phone i asked for was not in stock yet it was showing as available online, nokia 7360 coffee brown, Sony Ericsson W300i Black, white is on pre order

    Hi Abuokasha,
It looks like you're in the same position as me (see message earlier in the thread).
I have heard nothing from them since I sent them a letter along with copies of my proof of delivery. I told them I had taken legal advice and contacted Citizens Advice but obviously that doesn't bother them!
I'd like to hear how yours comes out.

I've just been told by Mobile Media Systems Limited from Bingham in Nottingham (a phone company I contacted after reading about them here) that my cashback claim is no longer valid as I did not claim within the required one month period. THIS CANCELS THE REMAINDER OF MY CLAIM!!!

Fortunately I have proof confirming that I did claim within the one month period (albeit the recorded delivery item was received on the last day of the month....phew!!!).:o

A word of warning to you all....read the small print (now how many times have you heard that) and if possible, avoid this company.
