    Part of the Furniture
Just had a massive row with them over the phone about this cashback nonsense. I sent in the first two bills correctly and got my cashback. the third claim which was the last one in "apparently" i sent the wrong invoice so they are charging me £10 BUT i called them and specifically got them to work out the dates for me over the phone to avoid confusion and made them note it down and now they are saying that its the customers responsibility to send in the correct bill and we can only "advise"...

If you ever call them never speak to "Joanne - Manager" as all she can do is say read the terms&cons...no reply to any questions and Amy will get all flustered if you ask anything too complicated.

PS: also note that everytime you sign their cashback claim form you agree to the terms and conditions ON THEIR WEBSITE so according to Joanne we have to check the website before we send in the cashback just incase their claim t&c's have changed...what a joke...never buying from them again!!!

Use chatterbox or onestopphoneshop - atleast you get give slips and dates of when and what to post.

as i don't know much about these things so any other people like me would be able to benefit from it too.

and about this PBD/M.Affiliates/Cool.New.Mobiles they holding up my cashback too its been more than 2 month for my bill been sent and received.

Just go to to https://www.consumerdirect.co.uk and email them your problem and they'll email you back with what to do.

Remember forget one claim and thats it! You can't claim for anymore cashback. Don't get caught out!!

First of all, a good post, thanks for that.

Now onto the above quote, I've got to say probably the MOST ridiculous and meaningless policy a company could ever come up with. I would definately challenge them in the courts over that but I just wouldn't sign up to such company with such stupid policy.

potentially equally as important; how RELIABLE is pbd?

I'm thinking of purchasing a 12month 'free line rental' deal. i've read all the small print but am not 100% convinced tbh.....any assistance?
  • Phoneboxdirect are as reliable as any other cashback dealer such as osps and e2save, read the other posts on this forum to see what other people have to say.

If you stick to their cashback terms and conditions you'll get your money.

They are one of the largest online retailers and have a good trading history with sound finances, so they're not gonna go bust anytime soon.
